You can go through our company profile on Mentioned herewith is the JD in very brief, which includes but is not limited to the mentioned activities - We are looking for a seasonedLogistics Managerto lead our import logistics operations, with a strong focus onchemical cargo movement via bulk and containerized modes . The ideal candidate will have significant experience invessel chartering , import compliance, and the handling ofhazardous and non-hazardous chemicalsthrough sea freight. This role will play a strategic and operational role in ensuring timely, safe, and cost-efficient transportation from global suppliers to our facilities.Key Responsibilities: 1. Logistics Strategy & Operations: end-to-end logistics forimport of chemicalsviabulk liquid Design and implement logistics strategies to optimizecost, delivery timelines, and safety compliance . Collaborate with procurement, planning, and manufacturing teams for delivery planning and coordination. 2. Vessel Chartering: Managespot and long-term chartering of chemical tankers, bulk vessels, and container space . Negotiatefreight contracts, charter party agreements , demurrage clauses, and port handling terms. Maintain strong relationships withship owners, chartering brokers, NVOCCs, and freight forwarders . 3. Regulatory & Compliance: Overseecustoms clearance , import documentation, and regulatory approvals (MSDS, COO, B/L, etc.). Manage classification, packaging, and labeling of hazardous chemicals as per global standards. 4. Port, Terminal & Transport Management: Coordinate withport authorities, terminals, and bonded warehousesfor efficient cargo handling. Supervise movement from port to plant viaroad tankers, ISO tanks, IBCs, or drumsas per cargo type. Managelast-mile logistics , ensuring safe unloading and quality checks. 5. Cost, Risk & Performance Management: Monitor freight trends, benchmark costs, and initiatecost-saving strategiesacross shipping modes. Analyze and reportKPIs(OTIF, demurrage costs, transit times, etc.) and drive continuous improvement. Handle exceptions, delays, and risk mitigation related to cargo damage, spills, or port disruptions.
