Position: Wire Harness Design Engineer Location: Hyderabad, India Job Summary We are seeking a Wire Harness Design Engineer to support electrical system design and development activities for off-highway/heavy equipment programs. The role involves end-to-end wire harness design, routing, drawing creation, and manufacturing support using standard CAD tools.Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical wire harnesses for off-highway/heavy equipment Create and modify 2D/3D harness layouts and detailed drawings Perform wire routing considering packaging, thermal, vibration, and serviceability constraints Develop manufacturing-ready drawings, BOMs, and installation documentation Interpret and work with electrical schematics and system diagrams Ensure designs comply with industry engineering standards Support design reviews, ECNs, and engineering release activities Coordinate with global engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams Provide support during prototype build, validation, and production phasesRequired Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Wire Harness Design Strong experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Good knowledge of connectors, terminals, splices, clips, clamps, coverings, and routing practices Experience creating manufacturing drawings and BOMs Understanding of automotive or off-highway electrical systems Good communication and documentation skillsPreferred Skills Experience working on off-highway/heavy equipment projects Exposure to PLM tools such as Teamcenter or Windchill Knowledge of DFMEA, design validation, and change management processes Experience working with global customers and cross-functional teams
