Location:Surat / Mumbai (or as applicable) Reporting To:Chief Financial Officer Team Size:3–4 membersAbout the CompanyDRPL – Dholakia Retail Pvt. Ltd. is the retail arm of DLGD, entering the Indian retail market with a combination of company owned and franchise operated lab grown diamond jewellery stores. The business is focused on scalable, profitable, and compliant retail expansion across India.Role Overview The Retail Head – Finance / Financial Controller will be responsible for end-to-end financial management of the retail business, including owned stores and franchise operations. This role will play a critical part in setting up retail finance systems, controls, reporting, and governance, while partnering closely with business, operations, and franchise teams.Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Financial Planning & Control Own P&L management for company-owned retail stores and franchise operations Prepare and monitor store-wise budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis Track and improve key retail KPIs: gross margin, store EBITDA, inventory turns, ROCE, and working capitalFranchise Finance Management Design and manage franchise financial models, royalty structures, and revenue recognition Monitor franchise performance, receivables, security deposits, and compliance Support franchise onboarding from a finance and commercial perspectiveAccounting, Compliance & Controls Ensure accurate and timely accounting for retail operations (Ind AS compliant) Oversee GST, income tax, TDS, and statutory compliances related to retail and franchise business Set up strong internal controls, SOPs, and audit frameworks for multi-store operations Conduct the Audit / Internal audit in timely mannerInventory & Cash Management Establish controls for high-value diamond and jewelry inventory Monitor stock reconciliation, shrinkage, and valuation across stores Manage cash flows, store cash handling processes, and POS reconciliationsSystems & Process Setup Lead implementation and integration ofERP/POS systemsfor retail and franchise business Define reporting dashboards for management and board review Drive automation and process efficiency as the retail network scalesTeam Leadership & Stakeholder Management Build, mentor, and manage aretail finance team of 3–4 members Work closely with retail operations, merchandising, supply chain, and legal teams Act as the finance business partner to the retail leadership teamQualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory 10–15 years of experience, with significant exposure to retail finance Prior experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, FMCG retail, or QSR preferred Hands-on experience with multi-store operations and/or franchise models Strong understanding of GST and inventory-intensive businessesKey Skills & Competencies Strong commercial and analytical mindset Experience building systems and processes from ground up Ability to operate in a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial environment High integrity and strong control orientation Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWhy Join Us Opportunity to build the retail finance function from scratch Be part of a fast-growing lab-grown diamond and jewelry brand High visibility role with direct interaction with Group CFO and leadership team
