GIFT IFI—an initiative by GIFTCL in partnership with Ahmedabad University, IIT Gandhinagar, and UC San Diego—is building a global hub for fintech education, applied research, and ecosystem innovation inside GIFT City.Role Overview The HR Manager will be responsible for driving end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and HR operations for the GIFT City office. The role requires someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working directly with leadership to execute hiring plans, coordinate interviews, and resolve employee concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.1. Hiring & Recruitment Coordinate with management to understand hiring plans, role requirements, and competency expectations. Draft high-quality Job Descriptions (JDs) based on inputs from functional leaders. Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, recruitment partners, and direct outreach. Conduct initial screening interviews to shortlist candidates based on technical fit, communication, and cultural alignment. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including scheduling interviews, follow-ups, and candidate communication. Maintain recruitment dashboards and ensure timely closure of open positions.2. Onboarding & Employee Orientation Develop a structured onboarding process for new hires in the GIFT IFI office. Handle documentation, background verification, and induction formalities. Coordinate with IT/Admin for equipment, access, seating, and system setup. Conduct orientation sessions and ensure a smooth first-week experience.3. HR Operations & Compliance Maintain employee records, HRIS data, attendance, and leave management. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and GIFT City HR norms. Support payroll inputs: attendance, leaves, variable pay, reimbursements. Draft HR policies and SOPs in alignment with organizational standards.4. Employee Engagement & Support Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and conflict resolution. Conduct periodic one-on-one check-ins with staff to understand engagement levels. Support performance review cycles—data collection, reminders, documentation. Implement engagement initiatives including town halls, team events, and feedback surveys.5. Cross-Functional Coordination Work directly with senior leadership and department heads to align on staffing needs and people strategy. Coordinate with Finance for payroll and budgeting purposes. Collaborate with Admin for office operations support.Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/PGDM in HR preferred. 4–8 years of HR experience, ideally in fast-scaling organisations or financial institutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage hiring at speed. Familiarity with HR processes, HRIS tools, and compliance frameworks.
