Job Description

GIFT IFI—an initiative by GIFTCL in partnership with Ahmedabad University, IIT Gandhinagar, and UC San Diego—is building a global hub for fintech education, applied research, and ecosystem innovation inside GIFT City.Role Purpose The Head – Programs & Capability Building is thecommercial and intellectual architect of GIFT IFI’s revenue engine . This role is responsible fordesigning, selling, delivering, and scaling high-impact capability-building programsfor: Corporates Financial institutions Regulators & governments Global finance and infrastructure players The role requires acommercial mindset, a deep understanding of executive capability building , and the ability to convert institutional needs intorepeatable, scalable programs —not academic courses. Key Responsibilities 1️⃣ Program Strategy & Portfolio Design Define theoverall programs strategyaligned to GIFT IFI’s mission (FinTech, Green Finance, IFSC, Global Markets). Design and continuously evolve aportfolio of offerings , including: Custom executive education programs for large institutions Mid-career certification programs Flagship leadership programs with national and global visibility Ensure programs are: Outcome-oriented Practically grounded Globally benchmarked2️⃣ Institutional & Enterprise Programs (Custom) Lead the design and delivery ofmulti-year institutional capability partnerships(e.g., banks, regulators). Translate client needs into: Cohort structures Curriculum architectures Delivery formats (in-person, hybrid, modular) Act as theprimary solution architectin senior client conversations, alongside the President and Head – Engagement.3️⃣ Revenue, P&L & Commercial Ownership Own theprograms P&L , including: Revenue targets Pricing models Cost discipline Contribution margins Build sustainable revenue streams through: Repeat institutional clients Scalable flagship programs Certification ladders Work closely with finance to ensuretransparent unit economicsper program.4️⃣ Program Delivery & Quality Control Oversee delivery of all programmes - young graduates programme, master's programme and customized /open programmes for executives Ensure consistentdelivery excellenceacross all programs. Build and enforceprogram quality standards(content, faculty, participant experience). Own participant outcomes, feedback (NPS), and renewal rates. Ensure programs remaincurrent with industry, regulatory, and market developments .5️⃣ Faculty, Practitioner & Content Integration Work closely with the Head – Faculty & Fellows to: Source the right mix of practitioners, global faculty, and internal experts Ensure faculty arefit for executive audiences Translate expert knowledge intoteachable, modular learning assets(cases, simulations, playbooks).6️⃣ Team Building & Leadership Build and lead ahigh-performance programs team , including: Program managers (delivery & client coordination) Learning designers (curriculum & pedagogy) Create a culture of: Client obsession Commercial discipline Continuous improvement Mentor team members into program leaders and institutional partners.Key Interfaces Internal:President, Chief of Staff, CXX/Deans/Associate Deans External:CEOs, CHROs, CXOs, regulators, government officials, global partners, faculty & practitionersIdeal Candidate Profile Experience 12–20 years of experience in: Executive education leadership Consulting-led capability building PE/infrastructure/energy capability development Corporate universities or global L&D roles Proven experiencebuilding and scaling programs , not just delivering them. Capabilities Strong commercial acumen; comfortable owning a P&L Ability to designexecutive-level learning journeys , not academic syllabi High credibility with senior leaders Excellent communication and client-facing skills
