Job Description – Senior Manager /AGM Logistics:Job Title - Sr. Manager / AGM - Logistics Job Location- Kutch, Gujarat (Factory) Report to - Head – Supply Chain Qualification- Master’s degreein Logistics/Supply Chain/Operations(MBA/PGDM) preferred. Experience- 18+ years of progressive experience in logistics, fleet,and port operations. Industry- Chemical Manufacturing Company CTC Budget- Up to 30 LPA (Based on Experience & Competencies) Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing large fleets (internal and external), overseeing the end-to-end movement of finished goods from manufacturing plants to port/customs locations, and ensuring efficient return logistics. The role demands strong focus on achieving OTIF metrics, maintaining compliance, optimizing transportation costs, managing partner relationships, and driving operational excellence while building and developing a high- performing logistics team.Key Responsibilities:Fleet & Transport Management Oversee operation and utilization of large fleets(company-owned and outsourced), ensuring timely dispatch, availability, and optimal load planning. Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance programs for vehicles to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards to maximize monthly trips / vehicle Monitor GPS/fleet tracking to ensure vehiclesafety, route adherence, and efficient turnaround times. End-to-End Logistics Execution Manage dispatch of finishedgoods from manufacturing plants to domesticand export ports/customs points. Coordinate reverse logistics for return shipments, rejected materials, and containers. Ensure documentation accuracy for customs, export,and port handling, avoiding penalties and delays. OTIF & ServiceDelivery Drive On Time in Full (OTIF) deliveries as per customerand export commitments. Define and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with transporters and logistics partners. Continuously monitor delivery performance against set benchmarks. Compliance &Safety Ensure compliance with RTO, port, customs,and hazardous materialtransportation norms (specific to bromine & chemicals). Maintain adherence to company’s safety, quality, and sustainability policies. Conduct periodic audits on fleet, documentation, and driver certifications. Cost & Efficiency Management Optimize transportation costs through route planning, consolidation, and load optimization. Support commercial with inputsfor freight rates and contractswith transporters and port service providers. Reduce demurrage, detention, and port handling charges through proactive coordination. Stakeholder & Partner Management Build and sustain long-termpartnerships with transporters, shipping lines, and logistics vendors. Liaise with port authorities and customs officials to ensure prioritycargo handling and faster clearance. Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Sales,Finance, Commercial, Export-Import) to align logistics with business needs. Reporting & Analytics Maintain real-time dashboards on logistics performance, fleet utilization, OTIF, cost, and compliance. Present weekly/monthly performance reportsto senior management with actionable insights. Track KPIs such as cost per ton/km, fleetutilization %, and vehicle turnaround time. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor logisticsteams across multipleplants and port operations. Build a culture of accountability, safety, and performance orientation. Drive continuous learning and capability buildingin the logistics team, especially in compliance, digital tools, and efficiency practices. Skills & Competencies:Technical & Functional Competencies Own fleet management : Ensure ≥95% fleet availability and functional, average number of trips / month as agreedwith management on regular basis Logistics Operations: Achieve ≥95% OTIF month on month Achieve nil demurrages Achieve ≥95% SLA adherence Achieve ≥95% OTIF on vessel Cost Optimization: Track and monitor transportation cost budget Continuously improve / reduce cost Vehicle maintenance cost within budget Regulatory Compliance : 100% compliance with RTO/port/hazardous norms,zero penalties/demurrage. Dashboard/Analytics: 100% TMS adoption; ≥95% dashboard accuracy; publish weekly/monthly reports. Ensure zero demurrage/penalties at ports/customs. Reduce logistics cost per ton/km through continuous optimization. Maintain 100% statutory and regulatory compliance in transport operations. Deliver periodic dashboards on performance, cost,and compliance for management visibility. Build a high-performing logisticsteam with strong capability in compliance, digitaltools, and stakeholder management.Professional Skills (preferred): Exposure to Lean Logistics, Six Sigma, or similar processimprovement methodologies. Strong proficiency in SAP systems and advanced MS Office/analytics tools. Experience: Proven track record of managing large-scale export logistics in chemicals, industrial salt, bulk materials, or hazardous goods. Demonstrated leadership in managing large teams and vendor networks. Prior experience preferably in large logistics company.Interested candidates can fill below mentioned google form.
