The role requires strong technical expertise, people leadership skills, and ownership of project delivery across cost, quality, and timelines. The focus will primarily be onelectric two-wheelers and automotive systems .Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of mechanical engineers Take ownership of team deliverables, quality, and timelines Break down project-level requirements into system- and component-level specifications Review and guide mechanical designs to ensure engineering standards and best practices are followed Plan and manage resources, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects Identify risks related to cost, quality, or delivery and escalate proactively Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external stakeholders Support validation activities, including DFMEA, testing, and production readiness Ensure proper documentation of designs, learnings, and best practices Present technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders when requiredRequired Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in mechanical design within automotive or EV domains Prior experience in leading or mentoring engineers Strong understanding of vehicle-level engineering and system integration Experience in areas such as chassis, brakes, suspension, plastics, sheet metal, transmission, or vehicle integration Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Creo or similar) and 2D drawings Knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA/DFS, and value engineering Experience with CAE tools and validation methodologies Familiarity with project management processes Prior EV or two-wheeler experience is an advantageQualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Hands-on engineering and production exposure preferred Participation in Formula Student or similar projects is a plusInterested candidates can send their updated resume tofiona@
