Location: Office - Nariman Point / Site - AlibaugOverview The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for execution, supervision and quality control of all civil & finishing works at the project site. The role ensures that construction activities are carried out as per drawings, specifications, safety norms and within planned timelines and budget.Key Responsibilities 1. Site Execution & Supervision Execute civil works as per approved drawings, technical specifications and construction schedule. Supervise contractor’s activities and ensure adherence to construction standards and safety guidelines. Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and subcontractors for smooth progress. Monitor daily site activities, including manpower, materials and equipment utilisation. 2. Planning & Coordination Assist in preparing micro-level work schedules in line with project timelines. Coordinate with the procurement team for the timely availability of construction materials. Liaise with local authorities for approvals, inspections and statutory compliance. 3. Quality Assurance & Control Ensure workmanship and materials meet required quality standards. Conduct regular quality checks and inspections at critical stages (formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, finishes). Maintain quality records (cube test reports, field test reports, checklists).4. Safety & Compliance Ensure site safety practices are followed by workers and contractors. Conduct and promote awareness of safety protocols. Ensure compliance with environmental and statutory regulations. 5. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily site reports (progress, delays, hindrances, accidents, manpower). Maintain site records – drawings, material receipts, contractor bills, inspection logs. Report progress and issues to the Project Manager / Head Office regularly. 6. Cost & Billing Support Assist in the measurement of works executed for contractor billing. Verify quantities of work done on site against BOQ / drawings. Provide value engineering inputs for cost monitoring and control.Scope of Work (SOW) Pre-Construction Stage Review construction drawings, prepare BOQ and technical specifications. Assist in site mobilisation (layout, site office, utilities, safety arrangements). Identify discrepancies in drawings and report to consultants. Construction Stage Layout setting-out as per structural and architectural drawings. Supervise excavation, foundation, RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, painting and finishing works. Coordinate MEP works with civil works to avoid rework. Ensure material quality – cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, tiles, waterproofing chemicals, etc. Resolve technical issues at the site in consultation with senior engineers/consultants.Post-Construction Stage Assist in snagging, finishing and rectification works. Support in final inspections by consultants/clients. Ensure proper handover of as-built drawings and quality reports. Participate in site demobilisation and documentation closure.Key Skills & Competencies Required Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials and standards. Proficiency in reading drawings (civil, architectural, structural and services). Familiar with IS codes, NBC and quality standards. Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and project scheduling tools. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills. Good communication and coordination ability. Safety-conscious and quality-oriented.Educational & Professional Requirements Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering. 12-15 years of site experience. Prior experience in residential, commercial or infrastructure projects preferred. Knowledge of Project management and billing is an added advantage.
