With a strong presence in40+ countries , Amar is backed by a highly skilled engineeringRole Overview: We are seeking an experiencedDesign Headto lead the company’sproduct and process equipment design function . This is themost critical engineering leadership rolein the organization, withcomplete ownership of New Product Development (NPD)and the evolution of our product portfolio. This role requires deep expertise inmechanical design, pressure vessels, flow systems, and pilot-scale equipment , along with the leadership ability to manage across-functional design and drafting team This role is ideal for adeeply hands-on design leader —someone who doesn’t just optimize existing designs, butcreates new systems from first principles , solves complex engineering problems, and thrives on challenges thatdo not yet have standard answers .Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage theentire design and drafting team , ensuring timely and accurate delivery of engineering drawings and 3D models. Be the person responsible for New Product development (NPD) Oversee thedesign and detailingof equipment likepressure reactors, Nutsche filters, flow systems, skid-mounted assemblies, and heat exchangers . Ensure compliance withinternational design standards and codes(e.g., ASME, DIN, IS, CE, ATEX where applicable). Review and approve mechanical drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and fabrication details. Collaborate with thesales, production, quality, and R&D teamsto ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and performance. DriveCAD/CAE optimization, BOM standardization, and design automation initiatives . Mentor the design team onbest practices, new tools, and design methodologies . Support client interactions during technical discussions, design finalization, and customization reviews. Evaluate and implementdesign software upgradesand digital tools to improve productivity and innovation.Key Requirements: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering(mandatory); M.Tech preferred. 12–20 yearsof experience in equipment design, preferably inprocess plant equipment or capital goods industry . Strong working knowledge ofpressure vessels, rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and fluid systems . Proficiency inSolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 3D/2D CAD toolsis preferred but not mandatory Good understanding ofmaterial selection, GD&T, stress analysis, and welding standards . Proven experience inleading and mentoring design teams .
