Role Snapshot: Senior agri-commodity procurement professional to own the Mustard Oil / Mustard Seed category end-to-end. The role is critical to cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and margin protection, with strong exposure to market intelligence and leadership stakeholders.Key Accountability Areas:• End-to-end ownership of Mustard Oil / Mustard Seed Sourcing (strategy and execution) • Annual and seasonal procurement planning, volume commitments, and budgeting • Price negotiations, contract finalisation, and supplier commercial management • Strong mandi-level market intelligence: arrivals, crop size, policy impact, price trends • Drive cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and inventory health • Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Finance, Quality, and Logistics teams • Ensure compliance to SOPs, DOA, quality specs, and audit requirementsIdeal Candidate ProfileExperience • 10–15 years in Agri Commodity procurement • Hands-on experience in Agri Commodity /Mustard Oil/ Veg Oil & fats / Oilseeds sourcing (mandatory) • Exposure to mandi buying, aggregators, traders, Manufacturers and contract sourcing • FMCG / Edible Oil / Food Processing background preferredCore Skills • Deep understanding of crop cycles and mandi dynamics • Strong commercial negotiation and costing skills • Ability to build price forecasts and market outlooks • High ownership, execution focus, and stakeholder managementSuccess Metrics • Demonstrated cost savings and margin impact • Ability to manage price volatility and supply risk • Strong supplier network and negotiation track record • Comfort operating in volatile agri-commodity environmentsEducation • MBA / PGDM – Supply Chain / Procurement / Agribusiness preferred • Graduation in Agriculture / Commerce / EngineeringReporting Reports to: Head – Procurement Oil
