We are looking for aMechanical Project Engineerwho will ownNPD and custom machine development projectsend-to-end — from proposal stage to delivery and installation. This role sits at the center of the project ecosystem and requires strong project ownership, cross-functional coordination, client interaction, and hands-on involvement across design, development, and execution.Salary:₹6 to ₹9 LPA(based on experience) Location:Thiruvottiyur, Chennai Work Experience:4 to 6 yearsKey Responsibilities :1. Project Management & Tracking Maintain a real-timeproject dashboardto track progress and milestones Create and managedaily / weekly task plansfor design and assembly teams Track timelines, identify risks early, and drive corrective actions2. Design Coordination Translateclient requirements into functional machine specifications Review layouts and 3D assemblies forDFM, usability, and productivity3. Project Execution Follow up closely withprocurement, vendors, and outsourced partners Monitor daily progress offabrication and assembly teams Act as the coordination bridge betweenmechanical, electrical, and programming teams4. Proposal & Costing Preparetechnical proposals and techno-commercial quotations Present machine concepts using3D concept designs DevelopBOM-based costing , handle revisions and clarifications5. Documentation Prepare and maintainuser manuals, operation manuals, maintenance manuals, and spare lists6. Client Communication Handle requirement discussions, clarifications, and progress updates Share drawings, documents, and status reports Manage scope changes and timeline discussions7. Installation & Handover Superviseinstallation, commissioning, and production trials Ensure smooth project handover after completion✅Required Skills :Technical 4+ yearsexperience in machine or equipment design & development Strong proficiency inSolidWorks and AutoCAD Experience inNPD and custom machine / SPM development Good understanding ofBOMs and manufacturing processesCommunication & Coordination Good spoken and writtenEnglish Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors Fluency in spoken TamilPersonal Attributes Strong sense ofownership and accountability Proactive, execution-focused mindset Comfortable leading projects from concept to deliveryInterview Process : Phone interview followed by in-person evaluation to assess 3D modeling proficiency, mechanical design expertise, and practical problem-solving skills.
