Position:General Manager/ Deputy General Manager Function:Vehicle Integration Department:Mechanical Location:Hyderabad, India Work Model:6 days, work from office (Second Saturday off)Qualifications B.E./ B.Tech/ M.E/ M.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering 12-17 years’ experience in Automotive OEMs or Tier-1s Strong background in Vehicle Integration, Mechanical Design & Commercial vehicle platforms Experience with CMVR/ AIS regulations Proven leadership in cross-functional engineering teamsRole Overview We are looking for a senior engineering leader to own end-to-end vehicle integration forCabin, Trim parts and chassisfor LCV and HCV. This role will drive regulatory compliance, component packaging, cross-functional execution, and localization initiatives for Electric commercial vehicles.Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Integration and Design leadership: Own mechanical vehicle integration across cabin, chassis, trim parts and load body systems Lead system-level packaging of components ensuring manufacturability, serviceability, and compliance Drive engineering decision-making across concepts, design freeze, validation, and SOP stages Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure vehicle designs and components meet CMVR/ AIS/ relevant Indian automotive regulations Coordinate with Homologation team, requirements & design team Program & Timeline Ownership: Plan & track project timelines, milestones, and engineering deliverables Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans to avoid schedule slippages Support leadership with program status and readiness reviews Cross- Functional coordination: Act as the single point owner coordinating with: E&E, Powertrain, Mechanical design, SCM, Homologation Drive alignment across stakeholders for project goals, engineering changes and releases Validation & Testing: Review and approve component and system validation plans Ensure timely completion of DVP, testing, and signoffs with stakeholders Support issue resolution during testing, trials, and pilot builds Localization & Cost Optimization: Lead localization of components aligned with PM E-drive/ government schemes Work closely with NPD/Sourcing teams for target alignment, supplier design alignment & development Balance quality & performance during localization decisionsRequired Skills: Vehicle architecture & mechanical packaging Regulatory compliance & homologation readiness Program management & execution discipline Team leadership & mentoringWho this role is ideal for: Senior engineering leaders ready to step into DGM/ GM roles Professionals with strong OEM mindset and execution rigor Candidates interested in fast-growing EV company & ecosystem
