As part of our offshore Operations & Maintenance team, we are looking for a highly experiencedSenior Mechanical Engineerto enhance asset reliability, optimize maintenance strategies, and provide technical leadership for rotating and static mechanical equipment. This role involves regular offshore assignments and plays a critical role in ensuring mechanical integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.What You Will Do In this role, you will: Serve as theTechnical Advisorfor rotating and static mechanical equipment, supporting Operational Performance Standards (OPS) and Maintenance Management. Ensure high standards in maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical systems throughout the asset lifecycle. Lead Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMECA, and RAM studies to mitigate failures and improve availability. Establish equipment reliability roadmaps and drive improvements through RCA and proactive condition monitoring. Define “fitness for use” criteria to optimize lifecycle performance and support QA/QC, installation, and commissioning of critical assets. Drive continuous improvement using reliability KPIs such as MTBF, OEE, and Mechanical Availability. Ensure availability of critical spare parts and effective use of CMMS systems. Participate in incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and Management of Change (MoC) reviews. Maintain and update Lessons Learned registers from audits, breakdowns, shutdowns, and inspections. Develop and review inspection work packs for static pressure equipment, piping, and valves. Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies for visual and NDT inspections, reviewing reports and identifying anomalies. Provide technical support on materials, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and troubleshooting of static equipment. Ensure compliance with inspection requirements for Ex-rated mechanical equipment. Support compliance with class, flag state, and regulatory mechanical integrity requirements.What We Are Looking ForQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Level 2 NDT certification and Level 3 inspection/API certifications are advantageous.Experience 12–15 yearsof experience in mechanical maintenance with strong specialization in rotating equipment. Minimum5 years in Oil & Gasor a closely related industry. Offshore / FPSO experience is preferred. Strong background in compressors, pumps, gas turbine generators, condition monitoring, and major overhauls. Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP or equivalent.Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of Reliability Engineering principles: RCM, lifecycle asset management, risk assessment, criticality studies, RCFA, bad actor identification, and life cycle cost analysis. Solid understanding of seals, bearings, couplings, dry gas seals, alignment techniques, and vibration analysis (Level 2 preferred). Familiarity with offshore process systems and mechanical integrity requirements. Knowledge of inspection, NDT techniques, and maintenance of static equipment. Experience with visualization and monitoring tools such as PI Vision / Process Book is an advantage. Certifications such asCMRPorCREare a plus. Awareness of maritime and offshore regulations (Class, Flag State, international codes & standards) is beneficial.Interpersonal Skills Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Structured, analytical thinker with strong attention to detail. Able to work under pressure and deliver high-quality results on time. Effective communicator in multidisciplinary and multinational environments.
