This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, along with participation in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.Key Responsibilities• Troubleshoot, research, and resolve major defects and inconsistencies in system functionality• Respond promptly to system alerts, escalations, and production outages• Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating schedule• Focus on service restoration and reducing Mean Time To Restoration (MTTR)• Collaborate with peers and vendors to design technical solutions for complex issues• Analyze system statistics and incidents to develop availability improvement plans• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated applications and systems• Guide and mentor other production support resources• Communicate service disruptions to management and perform initial damage control• Perform routine maintenance on application servers and monitor system performance• Maintain server space requirements and system stability• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities• Provide outage and restoration details for root cause analysis• Lead and coordinate teams during system and application outages• Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning• Deliver excellent service to production support clients and business partnersMust-Have Skills (Mandatory)• Java (5+ years)• Product / Production Support Experience• Spring Boot 2 or 3• Linux OS (5+ years)• Oracle / MySQL (3+ years)• Scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby – 5+ years)• Monitoring and optimizing Linux OS and system hardware• In-depth code review capabilityNice-to-Have Skills• Java 17 or higher• Experience mentoring junior engineers
