Greetings from Infosys BPM Ltd.,We are hiring for Mortgage Live Underwriting (1-4 Yrs) in Bangalore location.Please find below Job Description for your reference:Job Location:Bangalore Qualification:Any Graduates ( Full Time) Experience: 1-4 years Designation:Senior Process Executive ( 1-2 years) / Process Specialist (2-4 Years) Employment Type: Full Time Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Or 15 Days Job Level: 2A ( 1-2 Yrs)/ 3A ( 2-4 Yrs) Shift:Flexible to work for any shift WFO/ Hybrid: 100% Work from Office Must Have Experience in : Mortgage Live Underwriting , 4C's ( Credit ,Capacity ,Collateral, Capital) , US Mortgage, Underwriting.JOB DESCRIPTION:Purpose of the RoleThe Underwriter will review all loan documents and data in a loan file with the goal of rendering an Underwriting decision based on the loan characteristics including but not limited to Borrowers ability to repay (income, employment and assets), borrowers credit history and the collateral (property). UWs are granted Lending Authority based on their experience and their performance on initial test cases. Once Lending Authority is received, they underwrite loans in accordance with regulatory requirements, Investor guidelines and overlays.Areas of ResponsibilityUnderwrites mortgage loan applications and evaluates loans to maximize organizational profit and minimize risk or loss. Render final decision on pipeline of loans and recommend decisions on loans that exceed authority. Timely review of condition / final CTC Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Strong understanding of Desktop Underwriting (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP) Analyze Income & employment, credit strength, property appraisal, check over debt to Income (DTI) and Loan to value (LTV)and all other information pertinent to the credit decision process on each mortgage application, as presented by the applicant Underwriter to validate that a prospective mortgagors loan application adheres to the Investors, Secondary Investors (Fannie & Freddie) and guidelines of applicable government agencies to approve the loan Analyzing the risk involved in approving a loan to determine whether it is acceptable to the Investor or not Cite defects for any deficiencies observed on the loan. Verify accuracy of the supporting employment documents, source of down payment/ reserves, appraisal value and property title commitment received Review legal documents, if present, to ensure the accuracy & completeness Identify the mortgage insurance requirement (MI) and follow the MI guidelines, if applicable Should be capable of identifying, raising, and clearing conditions on loans in pipelineKnowledge, Skills required for the roleThe ideal candidate should have 18 months of experience of independently underwriting residential mortgage loans, expert analytical skills with DU & LP experience Should have minimum 12 months of Underwriting/Re-underwriting Mortgage experience in Conventional, FHA & VA loans (Government) products May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or a graduation degree for India operations and high school diploma for US Operations Familiar with standard mortgage concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Should have working knowledge with any Mortgage loan origination application. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Performs a variety of tasks.
