The Global Supply Organisation is a multi-continental Function that comprises of the entire Value Chain from product conceptualization to delivery to the commercial front. Role:Associate Manager - Costing Base location:Pawane, Navi Mumbai, India Reporting to :DGM - FinanceKey Responsibilities Product Cost Monitoring Monitor and analyze per unit cost for Jejuri manufacturing operations on a regular basis. Track cost drivers including raw materials, conversion cost, overhead absorption, and yield variances. Identify cost trends and deviations, and recommend corrective actions. Shadow Cost Computation (Transfer Pricing Products) Compute shadow costs for transfer pricing (TP) products in line with group policies and statutory requirements. Support TP documentation with accurate and auditable cost calculations. Coordinate with tax and compliance teams for TP reviews and audits. Change Control & Pricing Support Evaluate cost and pricing impact for change control initiatives (BOM changes, process changes, vendor changes, capacity changes, etc.). Provide inputs from a costing and pricing perspective to cross-functional stakeholders (Manufacturing, SCM, Marketing, R&D). Ensure timely updates to standard costs post approval. FOB Computation & Pricing Revisions Perform quarterly FOB (Free on Board) computation for export products. Support periodic revision of pricing based on cost movements, forex impact, and margin expectations. Ensure alignment between costing, pricing, and commercial teams. AOP Costing Support Compute FOB and product costs for AOP (Annual Operating Plan) purposes. Support budget preparation, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis. Ensure consistency between actuals, forecasts, and AOP assumptions. MIS & Variance Analysis Ensure timely and accurate MIS reporting to management. Conduct detailed variance analysis (Actual vs Standard / Budget / Previous Period). Highlight key cost variances with actionable insights and improvement opportunities. Period-End Closing Activities Manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities related to costing. Ensure accurate inventory valuation, WIP calculation, and cost absorption. Coordinate with plant finance and corporate finance for timely closure. Cost Benchmarking Perform cost benchmarking across geographies (NIM / Angola / DRC vs India). Analyze structural cost differences and identify optimization opportunities. Provide comparative insights to management for strategic decision-making. SAP CO Module Ownership Act as SAP CO (Controlling) module owner. Ensure accuracy of cost centers, profit centers, product costing, and reporting structures. Support system enhancements, master data governance, and user training. Coordinate with IT and external consultants for SAP changes and issue resolution. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of cost accounting, product costing, and management accounting Hands-on experience with SAP CO module Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong business partnering and stakeholder management abilities Advanced proficiency in Excel and MIS reporting Understanding of transfer pricing and export pricing concepts Qualifications & Experience CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred 5–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing / FMCG / pharma / industrial environment Experience in multi-location or international operations is an advantage
