Job Summary We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to serve as the functional owner of the internal Human Capital Management (HCM) SaaS platform. This role is responsible for leading business process analysis, implementing and configuring HCM workflows, providing advanced user support, and ensuring the platform remains compliant, auditable, and aligned with HR, payroll, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of HR processes, hands-on SaaS implementation experience, and the ability to support audits and governance activities while mentoring team members and partnering with HR, IT, security, and compliance stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & HCM Solution Leadership Lead analysis of HR business processes across core HCM areas such as employee lifecycle, job and position management, compensation, benefits, performance, and leave Partner with HR, payroll, finance, and compliance teams to gather and validate functional and control requirements Define current-state and future-state HCM workflows, approval flows, and data dependencies Act as the primary functional owner and subject matter expert for the HCM platform HCM Implementation & Configuration Lead and perform hands-on configuration of HCM workflows, business rules, forms, approval hierarchies, and security roles Oversee implementation of HCM enhancements, modules, and feature rollouts Ensure configurations align with HR policies, statutory requirements, and system best practices Coordinate testing activities including unit testing, UAT, payroll parallel testing (where applicable), and go-live support User Support & Issue Resolution Serve as escalation point for complex HCM-related user issues and system defects Troubleshoot issues related to employee data, transactions, approvals, and integrations Work closely with HR operations and vendors to resolve production issues Ensure stable day-to-day operation of the HCM platform and high user satisfaction Audit, Compliance & Controls (HCM-Focused) Support internal and external audits related to HCM systems, HR data, and payroll interfaces Ensure HCM configurations support audit requirements such as: Role-based access controls (RBAC) and segregation of duties Approval workflows and audit trails for employee and compensation changes Change management and configuration documentation Maintain audit-ready documentation including process flows, configuration records, access reviews, and approval evidence Lead audit walkthroughs explaining HCM processes, controls, and system behavior Partner with risk, compliance, and security teams to address audit findings and implement remediation plans Data Integrity, Security & Governance Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of employee master data Oversee periodic user access reviews and role audits for the HCM platform Support data privacy and security requirements related to employee information Define and enforce governance standards for HCM configuration changes Documentation, Training & Team Leadership Establish standards for HCM functional documentation and knowledge repositories Review and approve user guides, SOPs, and configuration documentation Lead or support training sessions for HR users and support teams Mentor junior analysts and implementation team members Continuous Improvement & Optimization Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through automation and HCM capabilities Recommend enhancements based on business needs, compliance changes, and audit feedback Stay current on HCM platform releases, regulatory updates, and HR technology trends Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, or a related field 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis with significant HCM SaaS implementation and support experience Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee lifecycle management, and HCM workflows Hands-on experience configuring HCM systems and supporting production environments Proven experience supporting audits for HR and payroll systems Strong understanding of access controls, segregation of duties, and change management
