Headquartered in the Netherlands, we are active in over 150 countries and employ around 34,500 talented people who are passionate about delivering the high-performance products and services our customers expect.We are hiring for the role of SAP Financial Accounting Expert at Pune (Hybrid role), below are additional details as required.Mandatory skills - SAP - Financial Accounting, Financial Modelling, Finance Master Data, Account Treatment, Policies, Configuration, Intermediate between Accounting & IT etc.Purpose/Key Objectives of the JobDrives part of the Finance IT roadmap on behalf of the Head of Finance Systems Manages (part of) the functional R2R process design for the finance systems (e.g. SAP-FICO in the main ERP systems) Manages standardization of (specific) financial master data within and/or across finance systems Manages the governance w.r.t. specific finance system R2R changes & projects as well as changes & projects of other modules or systems impacting the global finance systems due to system integration Manages IFRS compliance within the finance systems Manages SCOA compliance within the ERP (SAP) systems Manages standardization of the financial accounting and reporting processes within the finance systems and makes proposals for a continuous improvement agenda Embeds the (R2R) finance system process design in the organization (finance & non-finance) and ensures an in-depth knowledge transfer to key-users (train-the-trainer concept)ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Finance Systems (R2R processes) Manages (part of) the financial R2R processes in the finance systems and ensures alignment with the GPDs for R2R. Manages (part of) the financial master data objects in the finance systems, maintains data definitions & guiding principles and monitors SCOA compliance. Participates in and initiates new R2R changes (improvements) for the finance systems (projects & change requests) to safeguard the financial process design, performs fit/gap workshops, monitors user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensures completeness of UAT test scripts Reviews and approves for the finance systems R2R change requests impacting the functional process design Drives continuous improvement plans relating to R2R system processes (standardization, harmonization, effectiveness & efficiency improvements). Continuous improvement not only w.r.t. the finance systems, but also w.r.t. interfaces between these systems and with connected systems Reviews and approves all R2R changes in (part of) the financial master-data (configuration) for the finance systems, including alignment between these systems Translates SCOA, IFRS (webFEM), organizational changes and new business requirements into requirements for finance systems process design updates / improvements Embeds the R2R finance systems process design within the organization by: Identification of training needs by measuring major gaps between (ERP) process design and actual practice Setting-up training programs to improve the in-depth knowledge of the financial system process design (train-the-trainer concept) Developing standardized training modules for new key-users / end-users Supports & facilitates integrated R2R closing procedures by Optimizing, standardizing and harmonizing existing system settings Implementing tooling to automate transactions, reconciliations and clearing processes Implementing SAP program variants required for the closing process Works together with the respective local reporting entities, regional accounting centers and AkzoNobel tax department to ensure, next to webFEM compliance, compliance to local statutory and fiscal requirements and ensures the ERP system design is set-up to meet these local requirements Integrates financial system process design with functional (system) process designs of other disciplines Provides, from Finance Systems perspective, functional direction, training and support to (the key users of) Finance Operations (local reporting units, regional accounting centers and financial shared service centers), Consolidation & Technical Accounting, FP&A, Commercial & ISC Navigators.Job RequirementsHigh level knowledge of IFRS, accounting and financial reporting (masters in economics or similar) High level knowledge of SAP financial modules is preferred (SAP-FI must, other SAP modules highly preferred) High level knowledge of consolidation & reporting systems (HFM), BI & planning tooling highly preferred More than 7 years of relevant working experience in relevant regional or BU function (e.g. accounting, controlling, reporting, FP&A or finance process management) Ability to translate business processes into financial processes and accounting treatments Dare to be critical (positive way) and dare to challenge and ask questions Enthusiasm and motivation/eagerness to learn and perform Results oriented Positive attitude and good in dealing with complexity (strong analytical skills) Strong (interest) in process development and project management Ability to manage at all levels relationships like BU/regional management, corporate Finance departments, corporate IM (esp.
