Role: Project Manager – Piping Experience: 15-20 YearsJob Specific Responsibilities:Project Managers with Piping Background Must have handled a minimum of 2 large size Petrochemical/Refinery projects (EPC/EPCM) in Manager role. Manage and Guide the Project Team Resource planning and optimization for new and ongoing projects Recognized expertise within area of focus. Uses best practices to solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges. Participates in plan implementation. Independently works through individual projects and/or plays key role in broader projects. Relies on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems. Proficient with engineering software applications; Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities somewhat important. Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets. Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, client’s Basis of Design and application regulations and codes. Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively. Assesses procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget. Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecasts final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns. Compliance with Company and Project Execution Plan. Specialized knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, hydrocarbon pipeline integrity / asset management. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are critical. Usually able to explain why things are done the way they are within a broader organizational context. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to maintain confidential information is critical. Support & Assist Delivery Head in planning and allocation of resources. Improvise innovative work methods and ways to save costs, increase efficiency, remove bottlenecks while executing projects. Responsible for Quality/Design Review, Spot Technical Audits & supported by department Quality representative. Identify processes that will build efficiency to department / project workflow. Project schedule & Man-Hour planning, Monitoring and Control. Maintain Change Management / variations during the project execution. Conduct trainings for process engineers for various process engineering subjects and Software skills Identify and develop training needs Integrate and implement “lessons learnt” into new projects MH estimates for the New RFQs for Basic/FEED/Detail Engineering Performance management, setting up KPI’s, Hiring and resource management, Competency and skill gap assessment and People connectOther Responsibilities:Client Relationships: Maintains and builds healthy client relationships. Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise. Identifies, documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements Scope Management Compliance with requirements of the contract Effective change control process application Time Management Contributes to the development of overall project schedule Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule Quality Management Contributes to compliance with Company’s policies and procedures Strong working knowledge of WorleyParsons engineering and procurement systems and procedures Team Management Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives. Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives. Communications Management Regularly provides clear reports to project management. Effective communication with the design team and third parties. Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager. Design Management Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets. Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, client’s Basis of Design and application regulations and codes.
