JJob Description • Ownership of Notices: End-to-end management of all GST notices, appeals and audits across all GSTINs (State-wise) for all the IQVIA group entities. • Strategic Drafting: Draft technical submissions for show cause notices keeping in mind the long-term business impact of any ‘admission of liability’. • Liaising: Directly interact with jurisdictional GST officers for routine assessments, scrutiny, and investigative matters. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Advise Business teams, Procurement, and accounting team on tax implications of various business transactions. • Contract Review: Review MSAs (Master Service Agreements) and Vendor Contracts to ensure robust ‘Indemnity’ clauses against tax non-compliance by vendors. • Process improvement: Review current processes and enhance controls for the accounts team to minimize errors in ITC availment that lead to future litigation. • Coordination with tax consultants: Collaborate with external consultants or Law Firms for representation before the tax authorities, Tribunals, High Court or for obtaining formal legal opinions on high-value matters. • ERP Proficiency: Working knowledge of SAP or Oracle would be an advantage. •Advanced Excel: Ability to handle large datasets for ‘reconciliation-based’ litigation.
