Designation:Head of Learning & Development Department:Learning & Development / Human Resources Location:Bengaluru Experience:15+ years of relevant experienceRole Overview The Head of Learning & Development will be responsible for driving the organization’s learning strategy with a strong emphasis on leadership development, capability building, and performance excellence. The role focuses on designing and implementing structured, scalable, and high-impact learning interventions aligned with business, academic, and organizational goals.Key Responsibilities 1. Learning Strategy & Leadership Development Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Design leadership development frameworks for Management Trainees, Graduate Trainees, Zonal Business Heads, Principals, Teachers, Coordinators, and Senior Leadership. Build leadership development roadmaps for mid-level and senior leadership roles.2. Training Program Design & Execution Conceptualize, design, and deliver leadership, behavioral, and capability-building programs. Drive classroom-based, blended, and digital learning interventions to enhance leadership effectiveness and organizational performance. Ensure learning programs are scalable, outcome-driven, and aligned with business and academic priorities.3. Leadership Readiness & Succession Planning Design and implement high-impact leadership programs covering people management, strategic thinking, performance management, and change leadership. Build structured leadership pipelines to support succession planning and leadership readiness. Mentor senior leaders and high-potential talent to accelerate leadership effectiveness.4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory Partner with senior leadership, business heads, and academic leaders to identify leadership and capability gaps. Collaborate closely with HR and academic teams to ensure smooth rollout and adoption of learning initiatives. Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on capability building and organizational development.5. Learning Effectiveness & Governance Define and monitor metrics to measure training effectiveness, leadership impact, and ROI. Continuously update learning content based on feedback, organizational needs, and evolving leadership requirements. Foster a strong culture of leadership development and continuous learning across the organization.Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in leadership development, learning architecture, and adult learning principles. Proven capability in training needs analysis and program design. Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic mindset with strong execution and operational excellence. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive leadership transformation.Preferred Candidate Profile 15+ years of experience in Learning & Development with significant exposure to leadership-level training. Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale leadership development programs. Prior experience in EdTech or Education organizations is highly desirable. Strong understanding of leadership development methodologies and adult learning frameworks. Postgraduate qualification in HR, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.
