About the job About SukoonSukoon Health is building India's first specialized chain of hospitals to cater to acute and severe mental health conditions. We plan to set up 1000 beds across 40 units for adult, acute inpatient care across India. Additionally, we have aspirations to expand into specialized segments of de-addiction, child development disabilities, dementia care, etc.About the role We are seeking a dedicated BAMS to join the Sukoon On Campus team. Inpatient & Acute Clinical Care • Provide medical and psychiatric coverage for patients, including assessment and management of acute presentations • Conduct initial medical and mental status evaluations and monitor patients for clinical deterioration • Manage medical emergencies and behavioral escalations and ensure timely escalation to senior psychiatrists • Maintain patient safety, stabilization, and continuity of care 2. Psychiatric & Medication Support • Support psychiatric treatment plans under the supervision of the treating psychiatrist • Monitor psychotropic medications for response, side effects, and adherence • Ensure accurate administration and implementation of prescribed treatments • Assist in clinical decision-making for high-risk and complex cases 3. Crisis Management & Risk Handling • Respond to psychiatric crises including suicidality, self-harm risk, psychosis, agitation, withdrawal states, and medical instability • Implement safety protocols, observation levels, and emergency response procedures • Coordinate emergency referrals, transfers, or higher-level interventions when required 4. Clinical Team Supervision & Coordination • Provide on-ground clinical supervision and support to psychologists and nursing staff during routine and high-risk situations • Guide psychologists in escalation, risk management, and coordination during crises • Support structured case reviews, handovers, and adherence to clinical protocols 5. University & Stakeholder Management • Act as a clinical point of contact for university stakeholders (student welfare, residential teams, security, academic offices) as required • Support coordination around safety planning, emergency responses, and high-risk situations • Provide clinical inputs for institutional processes while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries 6. Clinical Administration, Documentation & Data • Maintain accurate medical records, medication charts, incident reports, and escalation notes • Ensure clear clinical handovers and communication across teams • Support administrative coordination, data collection, audits, and reporting aligned with Sukoon’s clinical governance framework 7. Quality, Safety & Professional Standards • Adhere to Sukoon’s clinical protocols, ethical standards, and patient-first approach • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and emergency procedures • Participate in case discussions, reviews, and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications • BAMS from a recognized university • Valid registration with the respective State Medical / Ayurveda Council • Eligibility to practice as a medical officer as per applicable regulations Experience • 1–3 years of clinical experience in hospital, inpatient, emergency, or acute care settings preferred • Prior exposure to psychiatry, mental health, emergency medicine, or inpatient care is an advantage Compensation & Benefits • Final offer will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, and interview performance • Fully furnished accommodation will be provided to the selected candidate by Sukoon Health in Sonipat - this will be over and above the candidate’s CTC
