Role purposeDesign, configure, and support SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) processes for a solar module/panel manufacturer withmandatorybatch/serial traceability to enable warranty, claims, and field-returns governance. Ensure end-to-end Order-to-Cash runs reliably while preserving product genealogy from production/pack-out through delivery, billing, and after-sales.Key responsibilities (SD)Work on requirement workshops for Sales, Dispatch, Quality, Warranty, and Finance; document traceability-specific business rules (serialization/batch policy, scanning points, warranty triggers, and documentation). Hands on experience of Configure end-to-end O2C: inquiry/quotation, sales orders, pricing, delivery, picking/packing, PGI, billing, and returns—ensuring batch/serial capture is enforced at the right steps. Knowledge of SD controls: item categories, schedule lines, copy controls, incompletion procedures, output determination, and delivery/billing document settings to prevent PGI/billing without mandatory batch/serial data. Own and stabilize SD production support: issue analysis, root-cause, and corrective configuration for traceability-related failures (missing serials, incorrect batch selection, partial deliveries, split billing). Drive testing and cutover with strong traceability scenarios: partial delivery, split delivery, customer-specific packing, stock transfers, replacement shipments, warranty returns, and credit/debit notes. Enable warranty and claims execution: support SD return orders, customer complaints, replacements, free-of-charge deliveries (if used), and credit memos with batch/serial-level linkage to original sales documents and deliveries. Support genealogy and recall readiness: ensure shipped serial/batch can be traced back to manufacturing lots (via integration with MM/PP/QM processes) and traced forward to customers/sites for field actions.Cross-module integration responsibilities (critical for traceability)SD–MM integration: ensure batch determination, picking strategy, packing, PGI postings, and stock status (quality/blocked/unrestricted) work correctly for serialized/batch-managed inventory. SD–PP/QM integration: align production/grading decisions and quality release with what can be sold/shipped; ensure SD does not allow shipment of blocked or unreleased batches/serials. SD–FI/CO integration: ensure billing and credit processes post accurately while retaining traceability reference in document flow for audit and dispute resolution.Key deliverables Traceability process design: scan points, mandatory fields, exception handling (damaged label, missing serial), and reconciliation steps (warehouse pack-out vs delivery vs invoice). Test assets: end-to-end test scripts covering serial/batch scenarios, UAT support, and go-live readiness checklists for traceability.Required skills & experience Strong SAP S/4HANA SD configuration experience across O2C, including logistics execution touchpoints. Hands-on experience with batch/serial-dependent delivery processes and the ability to design controls that prevent “untraceable shipments.” Experience in manufacturing industries with warranty/after-sales processes and high discipline around document flow and auditability. Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and troubleshooting skills in integrated landscapes (SD–MM/PP/QM–FI).
