Role OverviewThe Head of Marketing will be responsible for building and executing a credible, parent-first marketing and admissions outreach strategy for the school. This is a leadership role, not a vendor-coordination or creative-only role.The role exists to ensure: • Strong, consistent student enrolment • Clear articulation of the school’s academic philosophy • Professional communication with parents across grades • Ethical, reputation-led growth (not discount-driven marketing)Key Responsibilities1. Admissions & Enrolment Strategy• Own annual enrolment targets across grades • Plan and execute admissions campaigns (online + offline) • Improve conversion from enquiry → visit → admission • Design parent journeys for Open Houses, School Tours, and Counselling Days • Track yield, drop-offs, and parent objections2. Brand & Parent Communication• Define and maintain a consistent school narrative (academics, values, outcomes) • Oversee all parent-facing communication: website, brochures, emails, social media • Ensure messaging is accurate, ethical, and aligned with CBSE norms • Build trust with discerning parents—avoid gimmicks or false claims3. Digital Marketing & Lead Management• Oversee digital channels: Google, Meta, website, WhatsApp workflows • Work with internal teams or external agencies for execution • Track CPL, CAC, and lead quality—not just impressions or reach • Implement CRM or lead-tracking systems where required4. Community & Local Outreach• Build relationships with feeder preschools, coaching centres, and communities • Plan local events, workshops, seminars, and school showcases • Support alumni and parent-ambassador initiatives • Strengthen word-of-mouth and referral pipelines5. Team & Vendor Management• Manage internal marketing staff (design, admissions, content) • Select and manage external agencies, vendors, and freelancers • Set clear deliverables, budgets, and timelines • Ensure ROI accountability from all partners6. Reporting & Leadership Inputs• Present monthly and quarterly enrolment & marketing reports to management • Provide data-backed insights on parent behaviour and market trends • Advise leadership on positioning vs competitor schools • Support long-term growth planning (new grades, sections, campuses)Candidate Profile Must-Have• 8–15 years of experience in education marketing, admissions, or consumer services • Prior experience with schools / colleges / education brands strongly preferred • Proven track record of driving enrolments (not just branding) • Comfortable working with school leadership and academic teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ethical, parent-centric mindsetGood to Have• Experience with CBSE / ICSE / IB schools • Experience setting up CRM or admissions workflows • Exposure to both digital and on-ground marketing • Ability to work in structured, compliance-driven environmentsSuccess Metrics (12–18 months)• Improved enquiry-to-admission conversion • Stable or growing enrolments across priority grades • Clear, professional brand perception among parents • Reduced dependency on last-minute discounting • Predictable admissions pipeline year-on-yearImportant Note** - Candidates only from Chennai who have experience in understanding the demographics and a thorough market understanding of Marketing, Sales & Addmissions of the Chennai School Educational Markets please apply.
