Set to launch in 2026, Chiltier products will be available through strategic partnerships, digital platforms, and select channels, serving communities worldwide with performance-focused solutions.Role Description We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to support the design and development of mechanical and plastic components for compact electromechanical systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong 3D CAD skills and manufacturing process awareness.Roles & Responsibilities Part modelling of mechanical and plastic components and sub-assemblies using 3D CAD Apply DFM / DFA principles during component and assembly design Design components for injection moulding, considering: Draft angles, Uniform wall thickness, Rib, boss, and snap-fit features Design parts with clear assembly sequence and manufacturability in mind Design and detail sealing interfaces including O-rings, gaskets, and part-to-part sealing features Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T at the component level Create and update 3D CAD models based on design iterations and feedback Support 3D printing and rapid prototyping for design validation Basic stress, deflection, and vibration analysis to support design decisions Follow engineering standards, practices, and guidelinesRequired Skills Strong understanding of mechanical and plastic component design Knowledge of injection moulding processes and design rules Basic to intermediate understanding of GD&T and tolerancing concepts 3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred; Fusion 360 / Creo or similar) Exposure to basic stress or vibration analysis tools (SolidWorks Simulation / Fusion Simulation or similar) Awareness of assembly design and tolerance stack-up Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Recently graduated from a degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related field
