Job Title: Assistant Professor – Psychology and Behavioral SciencesDepartment:Centre for Psychology and Behavioral SciencesJob Position: The Centre for Psychology and Behavioral Sciences is seeking to appoint two dynamic and motivated Assistant Professors to contribute to our growing academic team. The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and academic administration. The positions are intended to support undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in psychology and contribute to the strategic development of the Centre. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Curriculum Delivery Deliver engaging lectures and seminars for undergraduate (B.A./B.Sc.) and postgraduate (M.A./M.Sc.) courses in Psychology. Contribute to curriculum design, development, and continuous improvement in line with academic standards. Supervise laboratory/practical sessions and psychological assessments as required. Research & PhD Supervision Conduct high-quality, publishable research in any core or interdisciplinary area of psychology. Supervise PhD scholars and guide research projects. Academic & Departmental Administration Assist in academic advising and mentoring of students. Contribute to departmental coordination roles such as program coordination, admissions, student outreach, and quality assurance. Participate in departmental meetings, assessment panels, and university-level committees as needed. Community Engagement & Institutional Development Contribute to public engagement, community-based projects, and university outreach initiatives. Actively support the Centre’s mission to promote psychological well-being, inclusion, and diversity.Required Qualifications & Experience: Ph.D. in Psychologyfrom a recognized institution (mandatory). At least2 years of teaching and/or research experienceat the university or college level. Aresearch publication recordin peer-reviewed journals (Scopus/Web of Science/UGC-CARE). Demonstrated ability to supervise students at master’s and/or PhD level (preferred). Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
