Role: Research AssociateJob Location:Bangalore (Indiranagar) Work Type:Hybrid Shift Timing :6:30 PM to 2:30 AM Years of Experience:2-4 years ( Working in consumer insights, consumer research or in an analyst/ strategy role at an entertainment/ media/ technology company)Notice Period :Looking for candidate who can join us in 30-60 daysThe Opportunity:We are seeking a passionate and inquisitive individual to join our Devices & Services team – a group of experts delivering insights to some of the world’s most influential brands shaping the future of technology.In this role, you will support a wide range of operational and executional aspects of our research projects, including project management tasks such as setting up screeners, testing and monitoring links, managing fieldwork, conducting data quality checks as well as research execution including analysis and pulling out insights.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of qualitative research practices and is comfortable taking on a significant hands-on role in qualitative execution, while also bringing some exposure to quantitative research methods. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in research while making a meaningful impact on our clients’ businesses.Your Impact:Assist the team across all phases of qualitative research execution, including setting up screeners, schedule creation and zoom link management, monitoring recruitment, observing and taking detailed notes during qualitative sessions (e.g., interviews, focus groups), uploading and organizing transcripts, supporting analysis including quote pulling, and managing related administrative tasks. While some support with quantitative research practices is required, the role is primarily focused on qualitative research. Extract, synthesize, and organize participant verbatims and discussion highlights to support qualitative analysis, insight development, and client storytelling. Collaborate with senior team members to help translate qualitative findings into clear, compelling insights for client-facing deliverables. Provide support on quantitative research processes as needed, including assisting with: Performing data quality checks Searching for bad cases, including using and monitoring Data Robot, our machine learning model Testing programmed survey links for formatting and accuracy compared to the final questionnaire, logic, and research objectives Reviewing open end responses for quality issues Proofing reports/presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides for accuracy Populate templated PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations using files provided by our Data Processing team or our online survey portals Retrieve survey data from our online portals, merge Excel files into final deliverables, and upload for onshore Analysts to review Support the survey data online portal development processes – as changes are made to the portals, help to verify changes were made accuratelySoftware & Equipment: To perform this role successfully, candidates must be proficient in the following software, categorized by type, as they will be integral to daily operations: Office Productivity Tools:Microsoft Office 365 / SharePoint, Apple Workspace Suite, Google Drive / GSuite; Communication Tools:Microsoft Teams, Zoom; Project Management Tools:Asana, ; Market Research Tools:Decipher (Forsta Surveys), Remesh; AI Tools:ChatGPT, Tactiq. Data tools:SPSS, Q or SQLWho We’re Looking For:Must haves: Understanding of qualitative research– You have a strong grasp of qualitative research fundamentals, including methods such as in depth interviews and focus groups, and understand how to listen for underlying motivations, themes, and nuances in consumer feedback. Curiosity and Critical Thinking– You are genuinely interested in seeking information on the “whys,” always digging for more information to understand what makes consumers tick. Whether it’s understanding why one marketing message is more effective than another or what consumers think we could be using AI for in the future, you can always find something interesting to sink your teeth into. Simply put, you love to learn. Problem Solver–You are a natural problem solver. When something doesn’t go as planned, your first instinct is to look for a solution, rather than viewing it as a roadblock. You’re always on the lookout for new ways to accomplish tasks and have the ability to address issues using creative and collaborative tactics. Data Driven– You’re comfortable working with data to identify trends and insights, including both structured (i.e. data and hard numbers) and unstructured (i.e. interviews and qualitative) data. Experience visualizing data with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs and Slides is preferred. Communication– Excellent communication skills are required as you will be interfacing with colleagues at all levels as well as clients and vendors. You possess strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Self-starter– Internally-motivated who continuously strives to get things done well, regardless of challenges encountered.You are proactive and always keep an eye on the next step. Clear and Proactive Communicator– You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are able to communicate clearly and succinctly. You’re comfortable asking questions and sharing your point of view. Hawk-eyed attention to detail– You notice when font sizes change unexpectedly or a proper noun isn’t capitalized. Errors don’t get past you and you are always focused on ensuring high levels of quality control and reporting. Expert multitasker– Successfully manages time and multiple competing priorities to ensure deadlines are always met. Staying organized is a must for managing projects! Team Oriented– Team player who works collaboratively and harmoniously within a team and across teams. You are comfortable forming connections with colleagues remotely whether that be jumping on a quick video meeting, picking up the phone for a call or chatting with them through IMs. You welcome feedback because you have a zest for learning and growing. You will roll up your sleeves to help get the job done and no task is beneath you. Your degree(s)– You hold a B.A./B.S. degree, preferably from a top-tier Indian institution, in fields such as Social Sciences, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics, or a related area.
