This is a high-impact role with ownership from concept to launch.Role Overview As theHead / Senior Manager – NPD Strategic Sourcing , you will lead sourcing strategy for new EV programs while working closely withR&D, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program teamsto enable innovation, cost competitiveness, and scalability.Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & NPD Leadstrategic sourcing for NPD programsacross EV systems and aggregates Definemake–buy decisions, supplier strategy, and localization roadmaps Driveearly supplier involvement (ESI)during concept and design stages Lead supplier selection, onboarding, development, and long-term agreementsR&D Collaboration & Technology Enablement Identifyemerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processesto support product innovation Collaborate withR&D teams, suppliers, and external research institutionsto enable advanced solutions Supportexperiments, data analysis, and translation of R&D outcomesinto manufacturable and cost-effective solutions Enableintellectual property development(patents, technical disclosures, publications) in collaboration with internal teamsCost, Quality & Program Excellence Ownshould-costing, VA/VE, and target cost achievementfor NPD parts Ensure supplier readiness forAPQP, PPAP, and SOPmilestones Identify sourcing risks early and implement mitigation plansLeadership & Stakeholder Management Mentor and guide sourcing teams on strategic and technology-driven sourcing Present sourcing strategy, technology roadmap alignment, cost status, and risks to senior leadership What We’re Looking For 15–20 years of experiencein Strategic Sourcing / NPD withinAutomotive / EV / Powertrain / Mechatronics domain B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering(PG in Supply Chain / Operations preferred) Strong understanding ofmechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier ecosystems Proven experience insupplier negotiations, localization, cost management, and technology sourcing Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work in a fast-paced EV environment.
