This role sits at the intersection of creativity and commerce, bridging Pratibha’s Design & Development Centre (DDC) in Indore, India with our Design & Development Centre (DDC) in Europe.Responsibilities Drive sustainable innovation with a fiber-forward, circularity-first mindset. Harness AI-driven design tools and digital libraries to deliver smarter, faster, and more innovative solutions. Collaborate with the world’s most prestigious fashion houses positioning Pratibha as a true creative partner rather than a passive vendor. Travel globally with confidence and cultural fluency, building strong relationships and leading conversations with designers, brand leaders, and sourcing teams across continents.This is both a creative leadership role and a strategic commercial partnership role. The Head of Design & Product Development will be entrusted not only to set the creative vision but also to co-create future-ready solutions with global clients, ensuring every collection developed under their leadership delivers aesthetic excellence, commercial impact, and measurable sustainability gains.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Direction Lead seasonal concept development aligned with target brands Define creative vision for garment styles, silhouettes, fabrics, trims, and colors Review and approve design collections, CADs, and mood boards Maintain awareness of global fashion trends, forecasting, and market shifts Spearhead the development of a digital library housing: Updated material and trim databases Photorealistic visuals 3D garment simulations Integrate AI-driven design tools to enhance creativity and efficiencyProduct Development Oversight Oversee technical design, pattern development, fittings, and sampling Ensure cost-effective development without compromising brand aesthetics Troubleshoot technical challenges in sampling or production feasibility Approve final samples prior to client presentationsClient Relationship Management Act as the face of the DDC for global clients (e.g. Zara, Hugo Boss, Burberry) Participate in client meetings, presentations, and collection discussions Propose new ideas, innovations, and value-added services Build trust-based relationships to secure long-term business partnerships Leverage existing global brand networks to facilitate business developmentTeam Leadership Recruit, train, and mentor: Designers (junior and senior) Pattern makers Fabric and trim sourcing teams Foster a collaborative, open culture inspired by global design hubs Encourage innovation, trend research, and creative experimentation Ensure all team members are trained in using AI tools and digital technologies for cost and time efficiencyStrategic Planning & Commercial Input Align design efforts with commercial viability and client budgets Review costing and BOMs to ensure profitability Suggest process improvements for faster speed-to-market Report progress, risks, and opportunities to senior managementKey Result Areas (KRAs)KRA Description Creative Innovation: Drive seasonal innovation and fresh concepts for clients.
