Job Title:Instrumentation Designer Location:Lamprell, Chennai, India Department:Engineering / Design Employment Type:Full-TimeJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Designer with strong expertise in MicroStation and AutoCAD to join our engineering team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the oil and gas sector, capable of producing detailed and accurate instrumentation designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.Key Responsibilities: Develop and produce detailed instrumentation design drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD software. Interpret and incorporate project requirements, specifications, and standards into instrumentation design packages. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability. Review and modify instrumentation drawings based on feedback from project engineers and clients. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control procedures. Maintain organized documentation and revision control of design deliverables. Participate in technical reviews and provide design input during project development stages. Support troubleshooting and resolution of instrumentation design issues as required. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field. Minimum 05 to 10 yrs of experience as an Instrumentation Designer in the oil and gas industry (pure oil and gas experience mandatory). Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD software for instrumentation design. Strong understanding of instrumentation systems, control valves, transmitters, and related components. Knowledge of industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and relevant codes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred: Experience working on offshore oil and gas projects.
