Role:Pipe Stress Manager - Plant Engineering Experience:15-18 Years EducationalQualification:B. Tech / M. Tech Location:Bangalore TechnicalCompetencies:In depth knowledge of Pipe Stress in Multidiscipline Engineering Projects in Oil and Gas, Power Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Refineries and PetrochemicalsResponsibilities:Lead and oversee all pipe stress engineering and analysis activities during design and project execution phases. Guide the pipe stress team in performing static and dynamic stress analyses using relevant software (e.g., Caesar II, AutoPipe) for piping systems connected to static and rotating equipment’s in compliance with industry standards. Handle engineering responsibilities for cross-country pipelines, buried pipelines, jacketed piping, and containment piping systems Guide the team for preparation of detailed stress isometric mark-ups, critical line list and PID markup for stress systems Comprehensive knowledge in designing pipe supports including spring hangers, expansion joints, and snubbers to effectively accommodate thermal expansion, vibration, and dynamic loads, ensuring piping system integrity and compliance with industry standards. Oversee the nozzle-to-shell junction analysis using PRG NozzlePRO and methodologies like WRC 107 and WRC 297, ensuring accuracy and compliance Coordinate and review civil and structural load data for foundations and supports, ensuring seamless multidisciplinary alignment. Assign, review, and check stress calculations and reports for critical piping systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements Perform or guide root-cause analyses and troubleshooting for qualification and site issues related to stress/design Support the Sales team during the proposal phase, including participation in customer meetings to address technical queries, clarifications, and proposal walkthroughs.Required Skills:Bachelor’s degree with 15–18 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 12–14 years of experience. Prior experience in engineering services companies is preferred. Proficiency inpipe stress analysis software(e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE) andNozzle analysis tools(e.g., PRG NozzlePRO). Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards:ASME B31.3, B31.1, Section VIII,andWRC bulletins. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
