Role Summary We are seeking an experiencedCloud Solution Architect (CSA)with deep expertise inintegration-heavy, high-volume systems . The CSA will be responsible for designing, stabilizing, and modernizing cloud-based architectures that meet business, technical, security, and performance requirements. This role requires ahands-on architectwho can take technical ownership of an existingPlatform Science ↔ SQL Server ↔ Custom Applicationintegration built onWindows services, AMQP queues, and SQL stored procedures , stabilize current operations, and design a future-ready, scalable architecture. You will collaborate closely withclient stakeholders(Operations, Application Delivery, Integration Engineering) andinternal delivery teams(Engineering, Business Analysts, PMO) to drive performance, reliability, and long-term architectural improvements. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Design Design end-to-end cloud architectures acrossIaaS, PaaS, and SaaSplatforms. Buildscalable, secure, and highly availablesolutions onAzure, AWS, or GCP . Define cloud architectureblueprints, reference architectures, and design standards . Evaluate cloud-native services and recommendfit-for-purpose solutionsaligned with business needs. Ownership & Stabilization Take ownership of the existingWindows service + SQL Server–based integrationconsuming and producing messages withPlatform ScienceusingAMQP/RabbitMQ or equivalent messaging systems . Perform structuredcode and architecture reviewscovering: Windows services / worker services Queue consumers and producers SQL schemas and stored procedures Configuration and deployment setup Publish findings withprioritized remediation plans . Diagnose and eliminate performance bottlenecks, including: Queue backlogs and thread starvation Database locking and missing indexes Long-running or inefficient stored procedures Define and trackSLOsfor latency, throughput, and reliability. Implementobservabilityusing metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts. Modernization & Future Architecture Propose and design ascalable, event-driven architecture , including: Multi-consumer worker models Partitioning strategies Back-pressure handling Retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, and resiliency patterns Evaluate and implement middleware platforms as needed (e.g.,MuleSoft, Boomi, or open-source stacks ) for standardized integration, orchestration, and governance. DefineAPI contracts , schema evolution strategies, and versioning practices. ImplementCI/CD pipelinesand automatedintegration, contract, and load testingfor services and database components. Ensure enterprise-gradesecurity and compliance , including: Authentication and authorization Secrets management and least-privilege access Data masking for PII/PHI Audit logging and operational runbooks to support24×7 reliability Minimum Qualifications 12+ yearsof experience in software engineering, with5+ yearsdesigning and architecting large-scale, integration-heavy systems. Strong hands-on experience with: .NET (C#)– Windows Services or Worker Services AMQP / RabbitMQ(or Azure Service Bus, Kafka) Microsoft SQL Server– schema design, T-SQL, indexing, execution plans, and performance tuning Proven ability toreduce message latency , prevent queue backlogs, andhorizontally scaleconsumers and producers. Deep understanding ofintegration and event-driven patterns , including: Pub/Sub CQRS / Event Sourcing Outbox / Inbox Saga patterns Idempotency Practical experience implementing: Observability (Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) Automated testing (contract, integration, and load testing) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate operational challenges into actionable technical solutions.
