Job Overview A leading private tertiary-care healthcare provider in the multi-specialty hospital sector is seeking an experienced cardiology consultant to join a high-acuity hospital team on-site in Dharamshala. Location: Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India. Salary: INR 7–8 Lakhs per month (negotiable based on experience). Role & Responsibilities Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient cardiology care: evaluate referrals, manage CCU patients, and lead cardiology clinics with evidence-based treatment plans. Perform and/or supervise diagnostic and interventional procedures—echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring and Cath Lab procedures (coronary angiography/PCI) as per credentialing. Respond to cardiac emergencies (STEMI, shock, life-threatening arrhythmias), participate in the on-call rota and lead rapid-response cardiac interventions. Coordinate multidisciplinary care with cardiac surgery, critical care, anesthesiology and rehabilitation teams to optimise patient outcomes and throughput. Maintain clinical governance: document cases, run morbidity & mortality reviews, support NABH/quality audits and implement guideline-driven protocols. Mentor and supervise junior doctors, trainees and nursing staff; contribute to teaching, clinical audits and departmental research initiatives. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have DM Cardiology or DrNB Cardiology (or equivalent) with valid Indian medical registration. Minimum 3 years post-DM/DrNB experience in a tertiary-care cardiology setting (experience in Cath Lab/PCI or advanced non-invasive cardiology). Proven competence in CCU management, acute coronary syndrome care and procedural skills relevant to role. Strong clinical documentation, decision-making and communication skills; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Formal interventional cardiology fellowship or extensive hands-on PCI experience; publication or academic teaching experience is an advantage. Familiarity with NABH processes, departmental quality initiatives and participation in clinical research or audits.
