Job role:  Lead Engineer – Product Development Location:  Bangalore Role reporting into:  Engg Manager Does this role have direct reports?:  No About the Role We are looking for a hands-on and passionate  Lead Engineer  to lead frontend engineering efforts for  CLOUDPORT , Amagi’s flagship product. This role is ideal for an experienced frontend developer with a strong technical foundation, a passion for mentoring engineers, and a desire to build scalable and performant applications in the  video tech  space. You will play a pivotal role in shaping frontend architecture, mentoring team members, ensuring engineering excellence, and delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced product environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimization of frontend architecture and features using React.js and TypeScript. Guide and mentor a team of 2–5 frontend engineers. Drive frontend best practices maintain a high bar on code quality, performance, and test coverage (unit, integration, automation). Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to translate business requirements into seamless frontend experiences. Lead technical decision making and ensure robust, scalable UI solutions aligned with the overall product roadmap. Proactively identify technical debt and propose scalable improvements. Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback. Champion modern frontend workflows and CI/CD processes. Required Qualifications 6–8 years of frontend development experience with at least 1+ years leading teams. Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3. Strong experience with React.js and its ecosystem: Redux, RxJs, Immutable.js, Webpack, Babel. Practical knowledge of REST APIs, WebSocket, WebRTC, and/or Server Sent Event integration. Proficient in debugging and performance profiling using browser-based tools. Solid understanding of how browsers work under the hood (DOM, rendering pipelines, caching, etc). Comfortable working in Linux/Mac environments. Nice to Have Familiarity with  Material-UI  or similar component libraries. Exposure to  AWS services  – EC2, S3, Cloudfront, ElasticCache, Lambda, API Gateway. Backend development experience in  Go  or  Python Understanding of container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
