Learn more: About the role: To conceptualize, plan, and execute grassroots, internal, and community-level sporting tournaments across all Roundglass Sports verticals - including school and college leagues, village-level sports fests, and internal Roundglass tournaments. This role is pivotal in driving large-scale sports participation and talent identification across 3,000 villages in Punjab, ensuring alignment with Roundglass' mission of holistic wellbeing and sports development. What you'll do: 1. Tournament & League Development - Design and implement grassroots tournaments, school and college leagues, and community sports festivals across multiple sports disciplines. - Develop scalable formats and frameworks for competitions that can be replicated across villages and districts. - Coordinate logistics, scheduling, venue readiness, and event execution for all grassroots tournaments. 2. Strategic Grassroots Expansion - Create a structured village-to-state pathway for young athletes, ensuring talent identification and development at every level. - Build partnerships with schools, colleges, and local sports bodies to establish Roundglass as a key enabler of community sports. - Introduce and manage the annual Roundglass Games - an umbrella series of inter-school and inter-college leagues across Punjab. 3. Cross-Functional Coordination - Work with the marketing, communications, and fundraising teams to ensure strong visibility and sponsorship support for grassroots events. - Collaborate closely with the technical leads of each sport to ensure that tournament formats follow relevant regulations and best practices. 4. Team Leadership & Field Management - Lead a small core team with regional associates assigned to specific geographies or sports. - Guide, mentor, and support on-ground teams managing tournaments at the district and village levels. - Ensure consistent standards of event execution and community engagement across all regions. 5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting - Develop measurable KPIs for reach, participation, and impact of grassroots tournaments. - Maintain dashboards and reports capturing data from events across 3000 villages. - Share insights and recommendations with leadership for continuous improvement and scalability. Skills & Qualifications: - 8-12 years of experience in sports event management, community programs, or grassroots development. - Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-location tournaments or leagues. - Strong project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Background in sports management, physical education, or related fields preferred. - Fluency in Punjabi and English is highly desirable for regional coordination.
