We’re Hiring: Mechatronics & Robotics Instructor (Field + Lab) Location: Siliguri Company: Shaping Ideas Company Overview Shaping Ideas is a 1-year-old fast-growing startup working at the intersection of education, innovation, and advanced robotics. We actively collaborate with the Indian Army on innovation-driven projects and drone technology development, ranging from small tactical drones to large logistics drones capable of carrying payloads up to 50 kg. We are looking for a passionate, hands-on technologist who can help bridge the gap between education and real-world engineering applications. --- The Role This is a dual-responsibility role designed for someone who loves to build, innovate, and share knowledge: Morning – Educational Outreach - Visit schools and institutions in and around Siliguri - Conduct engaging, hands-on robotics and technology sessions - Inspire students through practical learning and demonstrations Afternoon – Mechatronics Lab & R&D - Work on-site at our lab on mechatronics and rapid prototyping projects - Participate in product development and drone fabrication projects for defense innovation --- Key Responsibilities ✅ Deliver high-energy, easy-to-understand robotics workshops for students ✅ Design, build, and troubleshoot circuits using Arduino, ESP32, and other microcontrollers ✅ Operate, maintain, and optimize 3D printers for rapid prototyping and drone fabrication ✅ Integrate mechanical systems with sensors, motors, and actuators ✅ Support ongoing R&D and product innovation projects --- Requirements & Qualifications Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication in English, Hindi, or Bengali with the ability to explain complex concepts simply Technical Skills: - Proficiency with Arduino and microcontroller ecosystem - Basic knowledge of 3D printing (slicing + machine handling) - Hands-on experience with sensors, motors, and breadboarding Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Siliguri (Preferred) Experience: Freshers are strongly encouraged to apply.
