Sports Area Administrator - Grassroot Centers About the job: About the Program: The Odisha IIS JSW Swimming Program is a Public-Private Partnership between JSW Group and the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha. Our mission is to develop and promote swimming in Odisha.Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Administrators to manage our grassroots swimming centers across Odisha. As an Area Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centers, ensuring excellent service delivery, and promoting the program in your designated area.Key Responsibilities: 1. Administrative Tasks: - Manage staff and swimmer attendance - Oversee maintenance checklists and ensure timely completion - Identify and report infrastructure issues and requirements - Plan and execute talent identification drives - Engage with swimmers who have left the program, understand the reasons for leaving, and develop strategies to re-engage them. 2. Liaison and Marketing: - Build relationships with District Sports Officers, district administration, and school Principals and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) - Promote the program to maximise participation - Plan and execute school league programs - Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution 3. Reporting and Data Management: - Prepare reports on coach and swimmer assessments - Collect and record data on swimmer and coach progression - Submit regular reports to the management 4. Promotion and Marketing: - Develop and implement local marketing strategies to promote the swimming program - Organize events, demos, and trials to showcase the program - Collaborate with local influencers, schools, and community groups to increase visibility - Conduct outreach visits to schools, parks, gyms, community centers, and local venues to promote the swimming program and engage with potential participants. 5. Other Tasks: - Execute tasks as directed by IIS management - Regularly travel to visit pools in designated districtsRequirements - Bachelor's degree in B. Tech, MBA, or Sports Management - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong organizational and time management skills - Proficiency in MS Office and computer applications - Ability to speak English, Hindi, and Odia
