Who are we and what do we do?We are seeking anExperienced Analog Design Engineerfor the Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) product line. This role provides an opportunity to be part of a world-class team that develops ASSP solutions for Test & Measurement, Industrial & Automotive markets as well as best-in-class high performance data converter products. These markets demand high level of technical differentiation and hence this role provides the challenge to drive continuous innovation and leading device developments to win in these markets for TI. The chips contain multiple sub-systems including high precision signal paths with best-in-class data converters, complex analog signal conditioning and control loops, high power delivery systems, a wide array of augmenting analog blocks, interfaces etc.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior/Lead Design Engineer, you will be part of a high-performance team delivering cutting edge products into a variety of end-applications. In this role, you will be handing the following responsibilities:Architect and Design high efficiency, low ripple and low noise DC-DC converters to be integrated in precision signal chains. Design building blocks of DC-DC converters in high-voltage precision process nodes. Work closely with layout engineers and mentor / guide them. Work with System Engineer(s) to understand customer requirements and participate in new product definition. Prepare high quality technical documents like design review material, reference guides for test engineers etc. Mentor younger analog design engineers in the team. Work closely with cross-functional teams like digital designers and DV engineers. Partner with validation engineers towards bring-up and characterization of silicon. Work with application engineers on ramping key customers by providing technical support.Knowledge and SkillsPrior experience of designing analog IPs like band-gap reference, DAC, amplifier, oscillator, comparator, power-management blocks like POR, BOR is required. Sound working knowledge of DC-DC converter architectures (viz. buck, buck-boost, boost etc.) is highly desirable. Good understanding of non-idealities in DC-DC converters like power loss, ripple, noise injection and approaches to address these will be an added advantage. Strong circuit fundamentals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of CMOS fundamentals. Knowledge of designing with high-voltage transistors will be an added advantage. Working knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre. AMS verification know-how desirable. Experience in evaluating silicon data and debug of silicon issues.OtherMust be highly focused and remain committed towards project goals. Ability to lead and mentor. Good team player with an attitude and thirst for continuous learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience and Qualification5-10 years of analog / power design experience. Bachelors / Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
