GeM will not entertain any correspondence on this subject and decisions of GeM will be final in all matters.JOB SPECIFICATION JOB SUMMARY We are seeking, Senior Manager - Software Quality Governance, a Software Quality Assurance Specialist with proven expertise in enterprise-grade QA frameworks, Cloud-hosted platforms, and Microservices-based architectures to oversee the quality standards of MSP-delivered software solutions for GeM portal. This role will lead functional and non-functional quality assurance of the GeM platform by defining quality expectations, validating MSP-executed QA, reviewing releases and ensure functional and non-functional QA standards have been met by the MSP before any deployment. This role will review and validate QA related metrics and KPIs such as functional correctness, test coverage, regression coverage, traceability, performance benchmarking, API contract verification, and microservice integration testing - to ensure that every release meets enterprise compliance and reliability thresholds. In addition, this role will also extend to maintenance and lifecycle support of enterprise applications. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY Governance &Standards Define and enforce QA governance policies across MSP-led deliveries. Validate testing alignment with enterprise designprinciples (HLD/LLD) andDDD- based domain models. Maintain availability of audit-ready documentation and compliance checklists. Challenge MSP teamfor inadequate test coverage, shallowRCAs or risk acceptance without mitigation. MSP QA Oversight Review MSP QA frameworks for coverage across portal layers (microservices, APIs,integrations , cloud hosting). Validate MSP’s test strategies, defectreports, and releasereadiness. Track SLA/KPI adherence and escalate deviations. Enforce QA quality gates in MSP delivery during development and. / or O&M phase for any BAU releases, emergency releases, security patches, hotfixes etc. Hands-onQA Execution Review and approvethe tools and methodologies usedby the MSPfor QA including validation of test results / reports, test design etc. Actively participate in test plan reviews, regression/UAT cycles, and defect triage. Drive RCA closure and ensure traceability of automated/manual testreports. Enforce service levelvalidation (contract testing, API schema checks,event driven scenarios). Non-functional QualityAssurance oversight Ensure MSP performs that required non-functional testing during the software development and O&M phase. Review and validate performance, load, stress testing results / reports against defined benchmarks Review and Validate reliability and resilience testing results / reports including failover and recovery scenarios Metrics & Reporting Track and publish dashboards on defecttrends, automation progress, regression success, SLA adherence, and release readiness. Maintain governance artifacts (traceability matrices, RCA logs, QA sign-off reports). Risk &Compliance Identify and escalate quality risks earlyin the lifecycle. Support closure of audit observations related to software quality. Collaboration &Continuous Improvement Act as liaison between GeM leadership, MSP, infra/security teams,and auditors. Facilitate quality reviewboards and release approvals. Recommend continuous improvement initiatives based on metrics and audit feedback. Any other responsibility as may be assigned fromtime to time.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 8+ years of experience in software quality governance and testing leadership across enterprise platforms. Strong knowledge of QA frameworks for cloud‑native, microservices‑based systems and AWS‑hosted environments. Hands‑on experience with functional, non‑functional, performance, and security testing in distributed architectures. Deep understanding of API contract validation, schema governance, and event‑driven testing practices. Ability to design/guide/assist and enforce traceable QA artifacts (defect matrices, compliance checklists, sign‑off reports). Strong background in CI/CD pipeline QA integration, including automated regression. Skilled in defecttriage, RCA methodologies, and stakeholder reporting, ensuring timely resolution and transparency. Experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and performance tools (e.g., JMeter). Familiarity with Agiledelivery models, embedding quality gates intosprints and release cycles. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive continuous improvement. Excellent communication and governance documentation skills to alignMSP outputs with enterprise standards.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/Computer Science/Information Technology/any related field from a reputed university. GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS Certifications in QA, cloudtesting, Agile delivery, or ISTQB (Foundation/Advanced) Specializedtraining or certification in AWS testing environments and cloud-native QA practices Hands‑on expertise with tools and platforms such as Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline QA integration, Postman, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS services including (but not limited to) CloudWatch, S3, EKS, and API Gateway. Familiarity with chaostesting, resilience validation, and fault-injection strategies for distributed systems Exposure to security testing practices including API fuzzing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation
