Financial Controller (US)Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-TimeWorking Hours: Overlap with US / Global Teams PreferredStart Date: Immediate joiners preferredAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly accomplished Financial Controller / Finance Leader with deep expertise in financial controllership, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic finance to lead and strengthen our finance function.This role is ideal for a senior professional with experience across end-to-end accounting, FP&A, treasury, audits, and financial governance, who can operate both strategically and hands-on. The successful candidate will partner closely with leadership to drive financial clarity, improve processes, optimize cash flow, and build scalable finance operations that support business growth.Candidates with experience working with international businesses, US accounting environments, real estate, infrastructure, or multi-entity organizations will be highly valued.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Controllership & Accounting LeadershipLead the end-to-end finance and accounting lifecycle including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, payroll, and month-end closeEnsure timely preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and reporting packsOversee multi-entity accounting environments ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controlsDrive accounting clean-ups, process standardization, and implementation of robust SOPsReporting, FP&A & Business InsightsOwn monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance insightsLead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range financial modelingProvide actionable insights to leadership on profitability, margins, working capital, and business performanceDevelop dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting frameworksTreasury, Cash Flow & Capital ManagementManage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimizationOversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and lender coordinationSupport fundraising initiatives, debt structuring, and capital planning when requiredCompliance, Audit & GovernanceEnsure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and tax requirements (including US GAAP / local regulations as applicable)Lead internal and external audits and maintain audit-ready documentationStrengthen internal control frameworks, risk management, and governance standardsCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultantsTeam Leadership & Process ImprovementBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing finance and accounting teamsImplement automation, ERP improvements, and technology-driven finance processesEstablish standardized close calendars, reconciliation frameworks, and reporting disciplineDrive operational efficiency and scalability across finance functionsStrategic Partnership & Stakeholder ManagementPartner with CEO, CFO, and leadership teams on financial strategy and decision-makingSupport business expansion, pricing strategies, and investment decisions with financial analysisEngage with investors, lenders, auditors, and external stakeholders when requiredRequired Qualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant / CPA / CMA / ICWA or equivalent qualification6+ years of progressive finance leadership experienceStrong expertise in financial controllership, reporting, and accounting operationsExperience managing multi-entity environments and finance teamsExperience partnering with senior leadership (CEO / CFO level)Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit processesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsSystems & ToolsHands-on experience with:ERP / Accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Xero, Zoho, or similar)Advanced Excel / Financial ModelingFinancial dashboards and reporting toolsAutomation and process improvement initiativesPreferred Industry ExperienceExperience in one or more industries is highly desirable:Real Estate / Construction / InfrastructureProperty Management / Facilities / HospitalityUtilities / Capital-intensive businessesMulti-entity or high-growth organizations
