This role demands technical expertise, leadership, and precisionin working with advanced materials to create lightweight and high-performance structures.ROLE SUMMARYThe Senior Technician – Carbon Fibre & Composite Manufacturing will lead the hands-onproduction, assembly, and finishing of advanced composite structures. This includes lay-up,vacuum infusion, autoclave/oven curing, trimming, and finishing of carbon fibre and hybridcomposites. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians, overseeing qualityassurance, and driving innovation in composite manufacturing processes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead fabrication of composite parts using processes such as hand lay-up, vacuum bagging, vacuum infusion, and prepreg/autoclave curing.• Supervise mould preparation, fibre cutting, resin mixing, lay-up, bagging, and demoulding processes.• Ensure compliance with dimensional accuracy, quality standards, and structural requirements.• Guide and mentor junior technicians in composite manufacturing techniques.• Collaborate with design, R&D, and quality teams for process validation and optimization.• Oversee trimming, machining, bonding, and finishing of composite structures.• Maintain detailed production records, quality documentation, and repair logs.• Promote continuous improvements in process efficiency, material usage, and product quality.• Ensure all operations comply with workplace safety, environmental, and qualityprotocols.QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION• Diploma/ITI/B.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or related field.• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in composite manufacturing, specifically carbon fibre.• Proficiency in vacuum infusion, hand lay-up, prepreg, and autoclave curing methods.• Experience in aerospace, automotive, UAV/drone, or marine industries preferred.• Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100/ISO is desirable.KEY SKILLS• Expertise in handling carbon fibre, glass fibre, and hybrid composites.• Strong technical knowledge of mould-making, lay-up, curing, and finishing techniques.• Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow process sheets accurately.• Leadership skills with ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.• Strong problem-solving ability and keen attention to detail.• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.If you are passionate about advanced manufacturing and have the expertise to leadinnovative composite projects, we invite you to apply for the position of Senior Technician –Carbon Fibre & Composite Manufacturing at Bon V Tech.
