Job Role: Tooling Equipment Engineer - Engine Assembly / PowertrainWork Experience: 4 to 7 YearsLocation: ChennaiKey Responsibilities:Ensure processing and industrialization of production facilities within Engine Assembly in alignment with engineering and manufacturing standards.Lead tooling and equipment setup for assembly lines including sealant dispensing systems and test facilities.Manage installation and commissioning of industrial resources within the assigned perimeter.Plan and monitor investments, budgets, timelines, and performance targets related to production facilities.Coordinate with Project, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Product teams for seamless execution.Support layout planning, infrastructure setup, and facility enhancements for capacity expansion.Ensure quality compliance, performance optimization, and cost control of assigned equipment.Participate in supplier selection, technical discussions, and installation validation.Essential Skills & Experience:Hands-on experience in Engine Assembly / Powertrain manufacturing setupExposure to Sealant Dispensing systems and industrial tooling equipmentKnowledge of tooling design, installation, and commissioningExperience with production facilities, test systems, and plant layoutProject management and cost management exposureFamiliarity with infrastructure and facility setup within automotive plantsProficiency in CATIA, AutoCAD, and MS OfficeExperience working within project/program and capacity enhancement frameworks
