About the Role: The Head (Accreditations & Rankings) at Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will serve as a pivotal institutional leader responsible for driving, coordinating, and sustaining all initiatives related to national and international accreditations and institutional/global rankings. The role will ensure that GIM’s quality assurance systems, impact measurement frameworks, and global positioning strategies are fully aligned with its Vision, Mission, and Core Values. The incumbent will lead strategic initiatives to achieve and maintain premier accreditations such as AACSB, AMBA-BGA, EFMD-EQUIS, NBA, NAAC, and SAQS, while simultaneously enhancing GIM’s performance in global rankings frameworks including QS, THE, FT, NIRF, and other recognized evaluation systems.This leadership position requires a deep understanding of accreditation standards, ranking methodologies, assurance of learning systems, and data-driven continuous improvement processes. The Head (Accreditations & Rankings) will work collaboratively across all academic and administrative units to institutionalize a culture of quality, innovation, impact, and evidence-based excellence.Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) S. No.Key Result Area (KRA)Key Activities1.Accreditation & Ranking Strategy and RoadmapDesign, lead, and monitor short- and long-term strategies for achieving and sustaining accreditations (AACSB, AMBA-BGA, EFMD-EQUIS, NBA, NAAC, SAQS, etc.) and global/national rankings (FT, QS, THE, NIRF, etc.).Develop structured roadmaps with KPIs, timelines, departmental accountabilities, and progress dashboards.Align accreditation and ranking strategies with institutional goals for quality, global reputation, and impact.2.Documentation & SubmissionLead the preparation, review, and timely submission of reports such as iSER, SER, SSR, SAR, AQAR, AoL, CIM, EIR, SAF, and data templates for rankings.Establish and maintain a centralized Accreditation & Rankings Data Repository integrated with Institutional Research and ERP systems.Coordinate responses to post-review feedback and action plans for improvement.stitutional Data GovernanceMaintain accurate, verifiable faculty and staff service records, qualifications, and achievements, ensuring alignment with accreditation/ranking criteria.Ensure compliance with institutional data governance norms, audit standards, and Government of India’s digital record management guidelines.4.Quality Assurance and Impact MeasurementInstitutionalize systems to track programme delivery, student learning outcomes, research productivity, societal and industry impact.Develop dashboards and analytics for Assurance of Learning (AoL), impact metrics, and ranking parameters.Facilitate institutional self-assessments, internal quality reviews, and benchmarking studies.Rankings Management and Global PositioningLead the collection, analysis, and submission of institutional data for FT, QS, THE, NIRF, and other global rankings.Establish systems for year-round ranking data readiness and validation.Engage with ranking agencies, external partners, and data validators to ensure visibility and accuracy.Monitor peer institutions and global trends to identify improvement opportunities and best practices.5.Stakeholder Collaboration & Capacity BuildingConduct awareness sessions, training programmes, and workshops for faculty, staff, and leadership on accreditation and ranking frameworks.Foster collaborative engagement across departments and centres for quality assurance and evidence-based reporting.Coordinate with international mentors, peer review teams, and ranking bodies.6.Mock Audits & Peer Review ReadinessPlan and conduct internal audits, mock reviews, and data validation exercises to ensure readiness for accreditation and ranking cycles.Manage logistics, communications, and briefing documents for site visits, peer reviews, and evaluators.Coordinate institutional responses and evidence presentation during official reviews.7.Policy Alignment and Continuous ImprovementFacilitate policy formulation and revisions in key institutional areas such as governance, research, ethics, faculty qualifications, and strategic planning.Use accreditation and ranking outcomes as inputs for strategic improvement and policy decisions.Promote data-driven insights and continuous improvement culture across the Institute.8. Internationalisation and Global BenchmarksStrengthen GIM’s global visibility and partnerships through exchange programmes, research collaborations, and diversity initiatives aligned with the International Accreditations standards.Document, monitor, and report global impact, mobility, and partnership outcomes for rankings and accreditation evidence.9.Accreditation Governance & CommunicationServe as Member Secretary / Convenor of Accreditation & Rankings Committees.Provide regular updates and strategic briefs to the Director and Leadership Team.Ensure cross-functional coordination with Deans, Programme Chairs, IQAC, Institutional Research, and Corporate Relations for aligned reporting and outcomes.Qualifications and CompetenciesCategoryDetailsEducational QualificationPostgraduate degree in Management / Education / Quality / Public Policy / International Relations or related fields (PhD preferred).ExperienceAt least 10 years of experience in academic administration, quality assurance, or institutional accreditation in higher education.Demonstrated success in managing one or more global accreditation frameworks such as AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, along with NAAC/NBA.Strong understanding of Assurance of Learning, impact metrics, strategic planning, and quality improvement systems.Excellent communication, data analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.SkillsThorough understanding of national and international accreditation frameworks including AACSB, AMBA-BGA, EFMD-EQUIS, NAAC, and NBA, with the ability to align institutional policies and practices to global quality assurance standards.Proficient in Accreditation Management Systems and digital platforms for data governance, document management, AoL tracking, and impact reporting. Skilled in maintaining data accuracy, confidentiality, and audit readiness across accreditation cycles.Experienced in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools to support accreditation processes such as Assurance of Learning (AoL) analytics, curriculum mapping, performance benchmarking, stakeholder sentiment analysis, and data-driven institutional improvement.Strong analytical and reporting capabilities to lead preparation of iSERs, SERs, SSRs, SARs, AoL reports, Impact Narratives, and other accreditation documentation, with attention to evidence, KPIs, and continuous improvement indicators.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with Deans, Programme Chairs, faculty, staff, students, and external peer reviewers.
