Location : Uganda KampalaIndustry: Logistics / Transport / FMCG / Construction / NGO / Corporate OperationsQualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field10-15+ years of experience in fleet or transport operationsHands‑on experience managing medium to large fleetsProfessional certifications in fleet management or logistics (added advantage)Strong understanding of East African road networks and local operating environmentsResponsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring availability, reliability, and optimal utilization of vehicles and equipment.Develop and implement cost‑effective maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance schedules and repair protocols.Monitor fuel consumption, driver behavior, and routes using fleet management systems (GPS tracking & telematics).Ensure compliance with Ugandan transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Lead and supervise drivers, mechanics, and operational staff while maintaining high performance and discipline.Oversee vehicle registration, insurance, licensing, and renewal processes.Prepare fleet reports, budgets, and performance reviews for management.Coordinate procurement of new vehicles, spare parts, and service contracts.Manage breakdowns, accidents, and emergency response procedures effectively.Implement continuous improvement measures to reduce operational costs and optimize fleet usage.Key Competencies:Strong leadership and team managementExcellent knowledge of Ugandan transport regulationsExpertise in fleet management systems (GPS, telematics, fuel monitoring)Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance and workshop managementStrong analytical and reporting skillsHigh integrity and commitment to safetyStrong negotiation and vendor management abilitiesIdeal Candidate Attributes:Proactive, decisive, and reliableExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational challengesStrong ethical values and attention to detailSalary Structure : Net of Tax SalaryAccommodation with Basic Furnishing & Utilities.Electricity, Water paid by Company.NSSF - similar to PF in India ; Once a Year leave for Bachelor / Family - Once after 2 years .Send CV to: ; Will call you for detailed discussion, if your Profile is relevant as per the required skills.
