Job Description – Quality ManagerLocation: Chakan, Pune, MaharashtraIndustry Preference: Sheet Metal IndustryQualification: DME / BEExperience: 10 YearsSalary Range: ₹60,000 – ₹65,000 per monthPosition OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in the Sheet Metal industry. The ideal candidate will lead the quality function, ensure adherence to customer requirements, maintain quality systems, and drive continuous improvements across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO standards.Oversee incoming, in‑process, and final quality inspections.Ensure strict adherence to quality standards for sheet metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, forming, powder coating, etc.).Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).Manage customer complaints, audits, and quality‑related communication.Conduct internal audits and coordinate external certification audits.Develop and update quality control procedures, work instructions, and check sheets.Monitor and reduce rejection rates, rework, and scrap through effective quality planning.Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and maintain related documentation.Train and guide quality inspectors and shop floor teams on quality tools & techniques.Work closely with Production, Design, and Purchase teams to maintain consistent quality.Drive continuous improvements using 7QC tools, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Lean tools.Required Skills & CompetenciesMandatory experience in Sheet Metal industry quality processes.Strong knowledge of welding quality, fabrication standards, gauges, jigs & fixtures.Proficient in quality tools: 7QC, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.Ability to handle customer audits and technical discussions.Leadership abilities to guide and manage a quality team.Preferred QualificationsDiploma (DME) or Bachelor's Degree (BE).Minimum 10 years of relevant quality experience, preferably in a sheet metal manufacturing setup.Hands‑on experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (optional), and customer standards.
