Associate Director – City OperationsDH Operations DepartmentNo lengthy intro here, let’s get straight to the details, Zepto speed.Responsibilities, aka, what we’d like you to deliver :●Own end-to-end First Mile operations across assigned cities — vendor pickups,inwarding, hub movements, and inter-hub transfers.●Ensure strict SLA adherence for pickups and dispatch with minimal losses, delays, ordamages.● Drive high inventory accuracy across hubs and dark stores through audits,reconciliations, and strong loss-prevention controls.●Partner with Central Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate inventoryinflow, replenishment, and dispatch alignment.●Lead manpower planning based on volume forecasts, ensuring optimal staffing acrosshubs and ground operations.● Manage and mentor Hub Managers, Inventory Associates, and ground staff with a sharpfocus on productivity and performance improvement.●Optimize per-unit operational costs while maintaining quality and service benchmarks.●Standardize and enforce SOPs to reduce leakages, shrinkage, pilferage, and processinefficiencies.●Leverage dashboards, WMS, and manpower tracking tools to drive real-time visibility andgovernance.●Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to implement automation initiatives such asbarcode scanning, slotting optimization, and pick-pack improvements.●Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations across all warehouseenvironments.●Act as the SPOC for city-level escalations related to First Mile, inventory gaps, andmanpower issues.● Drive structured governance through performance reviews, metric dashboards, andaccountability frameworks.Are you who we're searching for●Qualification:Graduation required; MBA preferred (Operations/Supply Chain) orequivalent hands-on experience.●Experience: 8–12+ years in warehouse, dark store, fulfillment center, or First Mile logisticsoperations with multi-city exposure.●Strong expertise in First Mile logistics, inventory control, and warehouse managementsystems (WMS).●Proven experience managing large, distributed ground teams and city-level operations.●Strong command over KPIs — SLA adherence, shrinkage, cost per unit, manpowerproductivity, and service metrics.● Demonstrated ability to manage cost levers while scaling operations efficiently.●Tech-comfortable and data-driven; able to operate through dashboards and structuredreviews.●Execution-focused, ownership-driven, and comfortable operating in high-volume,high-growth environments.●Process-oriented leader with the ability to build, enforce, and scale operational SOPs.Sounds like we’re talking about you?
