Job Role: Audio Validation Engineer - Python & Embedded LinuxWork Experience: 6 to 15 YearsLocation: BangaloreWe are hiring an experienced Audio Validation Engineer to support next-generation consumer electronics platforms for leading semiconductor customers. This role requires strong expertise in audio codec validation, embedded Linux environments, and Python-based automation.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for audio systems and consumer electronic devicesValidate lossy and lossless audio codecs across different hardware platformsPerform AV Sync and lipsync validation including presentation engine testingAnalyze frame-by-frame encode/decode performance and timing metricsDesign and enhance Python-based test automation (pytest) for endpointsProvide test infrastructure enabling engineering teams to own service qualityPerform hardware-level debugging using JTAG, probes, and signal analyzersWork with acoustic setups including microphones, speakers, and measurement toolsExecute test plans, monitor quality metrics, and ensure defect closure as per SLACoordinate with offshore QA teams for test execution and release sign-offMust Have Technical Expertise:Strong knowledge of Audio Pipeline, Signal Processing, Noise CancellationHands-on experience with ALSA, Xtensa frameworksExperience using gst-launch, ffplayPractical exposure to minicom and adb shellFamiliarity with AV Sync test casesComfortable working in Linux environmentExperience in consumer electronics device validation
