Job ResponsibilitiesTo support and manage procurement operations for direct materials including feeder parts, and raw materials, in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring timely material availability, cost optimization, and supplier performance to meet production targets.Assist in developing and executing procurement strategies for mass production materials.Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid production delays.Coordinate with suppliers for order fulfillment, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.Support cost reduction initiatives through:Inventory optimization and control.Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.Negotiation of extended payment terms and better commercial terms.Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier scorecards.Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to align procurement with operational needs.Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure ERP system updates.Identify alternate suppliers and support supplier development initiatives.Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.Qualification and SkillsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).8–14 years of experience in procurement or supply chain in a high-volume manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of direct materials used in electronics or precision manufacturing.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.
