Job PurposeTo deliver high-quality teaching and learning in IBDP Visual Arts, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and conceptual development in alignment with the philosophy and standards of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & LearningPlan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IBDP Visual Arts Guide.Develop students’ technical skills, artistic voice, and critical investigation abilities.Guide students in preparing:Comparative StudyProcess PortfolioExhibitionIntegrate global contexts and diverse artistic perspectives.Differentiate instruction to meet varied learner needs.2. Assessment & EvaluationDesign formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria.Provide structured feedback based on IB assessment rubrics.Prepare students for internal and external assessments.Maintain accurate academic records and portfolios.3. Curriculum DevelopmentDevelop schemes of work aligned with IB standards and practices.Participate in collaborative curriculum planning.Ensure vertical alignment with MYP/IGCSE (if applicable).4. Studio & Resource ManagementMaintain a safe, organized, and inspiring studio environment.Oversee art materials, equipment, and budgeting needs.Ensure compliance with health and safety norms.5. Student MentorshipMentor students in conceptual development and exhibition planning.Support university portfolio preparation (Fine Arts/Design applicants).Encourage participation in art competitions and exhibitions.6. Professional ResponsibilitiesAttend IB workshops and ongoing professional development.Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and exhibitions.Contribute to school events, interdisciplinary projects, and CAS initiatives.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or related field.IB training and certification (preferred).Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in DP/IGCSE/A-Level.Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and moderation process.Experience guiding student exhibitions and portfolios.
