Ltd. is the retail arm of DLGD, entering the Indian retail market with a combination of company owned and franchise operated lab grown diamond jewellery stores. The business is focused on scalable, profitable, and compliant retail expansion across India.Role OverviewThe Retail Head – Finance / Financial Controller will be responsible for end-to-end financial management of the retail business, including owned stores and franchise operations. This role will play a critical part in setting up retail finance systems, controls, reporting, and governance, while partnering closely with business, operations, and franchise teams.Key Responsibilities Retail Financial Planning & ControlOwn P&L management for company-owned retail stores and franchise operationsPrepare and monitor store-wise budgets, forecasts, and variance analysisTrack and improve key retail KPIs: gross margin, store EBITDA, inventory turns, ROCE, and working capitalFranchise Finance ManagementDesign and manage franchise financial models, royalty structures, and revenue recognitionMonitor franchise performance, receivables, security deposits, and complianceSupport franchise onboarding from a finance and commercial perspectiveAccounting, Compliance & ControlsEnsure accurate and timely accounting for retail operations (Ind AS compliant)Oversee GST, income tax, TDS, and statutory compliances related to retail and franchise businessSet up strong internal controls, SOPs, and audit frameworks for multi-store operationsConduct the Audit / Internal audit in timely mannerInventory & Cash ManagementEstablish controls for high-value diamond and jewelry inventoryMonitor stock reconciliation, shrinkage, and valuation across storesManage cash flows, store cash handling processes, and POS reconciliationsSystems & Process SetupLead implementation and integration of ERP/POS systems for retail and franchise businessDefine reporting dashboards for management and board reviewDrive automation and process efficiency as the retail network scalesTeam Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementBuild, mentor, and manage a retail finance team of 3–4 membersWork closely with retail operations, merchandising, supply chain, and legal teamsAct as the finance business partner to the retail leadership teamQualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA) mandatory10–15 years of experience, with significant exposure to retail financePrior experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, FMCG retail, or QSR preferredHands-on experience with multi-store operations and/or franchise modelsStrong understanding of GST and inventory-intensive businessesKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong commercial and analytical mindsetExperience building systems and processes from ground upAbility to operate in a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial environmentHigh integrity and strong control orientationExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsWhy Join UsOpportunity to build the retail finance function from scratchBe part of a fast-growing lab-grown diamond and jewelry brandHigh visibility role with direct interaction with Group CFO and leadership team
